Ivory stared up at the ceiling of the conservatory with furrowed brows. Wednesday had dragged her along to get answers from an ancestor by doing a weird ritual and the fairy was creeped out by it, so instead of watching the raven haired girl do her thing, Ivory stared at the glass ceiling, trying to count the stars.

The girl seated on the floor in front of Ivory had been summoning her ancestor for more than two hours with no results and after a while the fairy considered just leaving. Her phone had been dead for a while now and it was most likely around three in the morning, so there was no turning back now.

"Hey, not trying to interrupt your voodoo spells, but are we sure this is even working?", Ivory spoke up after a few minutes of pondering on if she really wanted to intervene with anything Wednesday was currently doing. She couldn't see much from her place on one of the tables for class, but her butt was starting to hurt and no ghost made an appearance yet.

Ivory wasn't even sure if she believed in ghosts, but she quickly realized that it must be possible, seeing as she was currently studying at a school full of supernatural beings.

Wednesday turned around with an emotionless stare, locking eyes with the fairy when all of a sudden all the candles surrounding her just died out. Ivory immediately got the chills and she would've made a remark on how that was actually creepy, if it wasn't for Wednesday speaking up first.

"It is working, but it seems she just doesn't want to answer", Wednesday spoke as she stared down at her set up, trying to figure out if something was wrong with it and it possibly being the reason she couldn't connect with her ancestor.

"I was reaching into the black maw of death to contact my relative Goody. She was one of the original outcasts. She could help us. We'll try again tomorrow in my room", Wednesday responded as she packed all of her items into a bag that she brought. At the sound of the other's statement, Ivory slid down from her chair to take a step closer to Wednesday.

Despite being weirded out and intrigued by the girl's methods at the same time, Ivory wasn't sure if she wanted to be associated with any of this.

"Do I have to come?", Ivory immediately pressed her lips together in a tight line at the sight of Wednesday's expression, knowing there was no way she'd win an argument against her.

A little birdie had told Enid that Wednesday's birthday was coming up a few days ago and when she told her friends about wanting to surprise her alongside Xavier, Ivory just nodded along absentmindedly, but now she supposed it was a good way for Enid and the others to prepare a cake.

So Ivory nodded, unsure of what she just agreed to.

The fairy wasn't ready to face Yoko, already worried about how she'd manage to avoid her for long enough to even get to the point of the surprise party.  On top of that there was still a lot to talk about with Xavier, but a little party never hurt nobody or so they say. Not many words were exchanged when both Ivory and Wednesday walked back to Ophelia Hall, but Ivory has grown to enjoy the silence, Wednesday only spoke when talked to and Ivory was never good with starting conversations.

"Good night", was all she managed to mutter as she came to a halt in front of her dorm room and she wasn't surprised to find that the raven haired girl didn't stop until she was in front of her own dorm. The girl turned to look back at Ivory, standing a few metres away. Wednesday sent her a curt nod and disappeared inside her dorm without another glance.
