The Sleepover

Ｃｈａｐｔｅｒ ２１

Rayyana had never been so humiliated before in her life. She was completely drenched head to toe, the only surviving item left was the maps she had thankfully safely tucked away in her satchel. The food she had packed was also soaked, the water remaining intact. 

She was also completely lost. The signs were going every which way, and she couldn't focus with her wet clothes clinging to her back and her shoes squelching. She sighed and looked up at the morning sky which shined a bright blue.

she was hungry and alone, and she was about to cry. 

Awesome.

"Excuse me miss?" She turned her head to see a little boy along with his mom, something small in his hand. He looked hesitant and turned to his mom who nodded once, the boy looked up at her and pointed the object towards her "here you go."

Rayyana took the object, which was a rhombus, and examined it. It was a normal looking red rhombus with the word "1 genshin" on it.

Rayyana's eyes widened, currency! She now had 1/50 genshin! She needed only 49 more to be able to get a room in the hotel. "Thank you so much." She smiled at the boy and his mom who smiled back and walked off.

Rayyana carefully put the genshin in her satchel and wondered if anything here was worth one genshin. She shook her head, no she should save it. Rayyana wandered until she got to random signs pointing every which way.

If she were kidnapped, where would she be kept? "Damn it." Rayyana muttered very lost and confused.

She could ask someone? Looking around she spotted a small little cafe, which reminded her a lot of the one back in Alejandro's kingdom. She made her way inside and was surprised to find that it was a cat cafe.

Small kittens and big cats ran around the cafe, people hollered and laughed while also petting the cats. Rayyana heard a small meow and looked down to see a small white cat with green eyes. She petted it and smiled, feeling a little relaxed.

"Merlin come here!" Merlin like a trance turned around and ran to his owner who was a very round lady.  She smiled and petted Merlin while also talking to Rayyana.

"Can I help you miss?" Rayyana nodded "yes actually I'm looking for my friend?" The woman hummed "and what does she look like?" Rayyana described Marium as best as she could also adding "and she was kidnapped, I believe she is here."

The woman froze and looked around. "Come here." She whispered leading Rayyana to the back of the cafe, Merlin following closely behind.

"Your friend isn't here anymore." Rayyana her out a large groan, and huffily sat down on a stool. "Oh my god! I knew I shouldn't have come here." She held her head in her hands already tired from this. She was so tempted to just go back and find Valen or anyone from the Royal guard to help her.

"No darling, she was here or still is. Anyway, the point is everyone is looking for her." Rayyana looked up confused "what do you mean everyone is looking for her?"

"Yes, you see our master Gert loves puzzles and riddles. This years riddle is your friend." Rayyana couldn't believe it. Marium was kidnapped..to be part in some sort of game?!

"I'm sorry darling, but it seems to find your friend you need to find her before anyone else."  Rayyana took a deep breath, calming herself down. "Okay..and what should I start with first?"

The woman handed Rayyana a letter that claimed the following:

"To find this girl you need to find Myrtle
To find Myrtle you need to find the turtle."
