- ‼️just a disclaimer, even though i am Christian, ik some people obvi aren't. aswell as in stranger things, we see that Jason is quoting the bible too, meaning him and his family most likely follow the Christian faith. so basically in this story, there's gonna be quite a few mentions of stuff like going to church, Christian references like the bible, etc. i just wanted to put a disclaimer in case anyone reading has religious trauma or anything. SO if you do...pls skip past it if you're not comfortable :)

October 2nd, 1986 ( presley's pov )
"Presley...honey..." I heard the soft whisper as I opened my eyes. My eyes adjusted to the light when I saw my mom hovering over me. "Good morning sleepyhead, it's time to get up." my mom said as she walked over to my blinds and opened them, exposing the sun beams through the window. I looked over at my clock seeing that it was already 6:00am. "Is Jason up yet?" I asked. "No, I'm about to go get him." my mom said. "Wake him up first, then come back to me." I said before flipping back over and laying my head down.
"I'm not playing that game today Presley. GET UP." my mom said. "Fine...jeez." I said as I stretched my arms and stepped out of my bed. My mom walked out of my room and shut the door softly behind her. I groaned before walking over to my bathroom and looking at myself in the mirror.

"Yeah...that's not going to work." I said to myself before grabbing my toothbrush and starting to brush my teeth. I finished that and washed my face before stepping into my shower and starting the water. As the water ran down the shower walls I undressed from my pjs and watched them drop to the floor before I stepped into the shower. I started to rinse my hair before I grabbed my shampoo and started to scrub my head.
I eventually finished my shower, I stepped out of the tub and grabbed the towel from my shelf. I wrapped it around myself and walked out of my bathroom. I walked into my bedroom and the air temperature instantly changed. "Jeez why is it so cold in here?" I mumbled to myself. I went over to my vanity and sat down. I grabbed my brush and started to brush, then style my hair. I decided on a half up, half down style with my green cheer ribbon.
Tonight's the homecoming game, meaning my mom and Leah ( my coach ), are both on me like mosquitos on skin. I'm the cheer captain, which means I HAVE to look and be perfect in our halftime routine. I'm actually terrified of falling, we're doing a stunt we've never done until now, and even though it's gone perfect the last week, I'm scared, if I fall, it could ruin cheer for the rest of the football season for me.
