The Escape

"She's taking too long~" The thin boy sang as he fiddled with some rocks he found on the rooftop.

"She'll be out soon, I swear," The leader of the group answered back whilst pacing back and forth on the roof.

It felt like forever since the group sent Powder into the orphanage, when in reality it's the anxiety that elongated the time. Claggor sat on the edge of the building trying to get a good view of what's in the window whilst the other two watched the streets from above.

"I wish I picked a different window... that one is too low to see," Claggor spoke with regret in his voice. He scratched the back of his neck and tried his best again to look in, but the angle of the view was cutting off just past the bed, where he was able to see Powder's feet when she initially went in.

"Vi, she's gonna jinx us~" Mylo sang again as he started to throw the pebbles across the roof top. Next thing he knew though is his vision turned from ahead of him to the floor real quick.

Vi had pushed him over

"Shut the fuck up. Just shut it." She spat with enough venom to kill anyone. "She's my problem, not yours, so do yourself a favour and be quiet."

"Uh guys?" Claggor called out to them, stopping the conflict before it progresses. "We have a problem..." he shakily pointed his finger towards the windows

Vi quickly ran over and looked to where he was pointing. The woman that walked into the building earlier was stomping her way up the stairs, but she was only visible through the windows.

"It's okay," Vi's breathing started to pick up as she watched her "maybe she's going to a different floor..."

Mylo joined the other two and watched the woman.

"She's not happy," Mylo commented, just to revive a smack on his arm from Claggor

She marched up...

And up...

Then she was gone...

Right on Powder's floor.

The pink haired girl's breathing sped up and she ran to the area where her sister entered. "I have to get her."

"What happened to trusting her?" Mylo smirked and crossed his arms.

"The only reason that woman could be going up there is if there's someone else there, and with the way she's walking she's not happy," Vi started to hyper fixate on the window as she got herself ready to jump.

"Powder!?"

I got a flood of confusion as I have just seen my sister hug a stranger... This was new....

I jumped down from the window onto the floor, watching Powder run to me, yelling my name. She wrapped her small self around me and I quickly returned it before looking at the boy and the old lady.

Who was this boy?

"Uh... hey Grelod?" He said to  the lady. What a disgusting name. Who names their child that?!

Grelod snarled at the boy and took a step closer to the young boy, who looked around Powder's age, and went to grab him. "You didn't tell me we had unwanted guests, Y/N!"
