(PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD READ GUIDESTUCK BEFORE THIS)

You are Dave Strider. You've just landed on your planet of Lohac. You have felt drawn to here for a while but, now that you're here, it's pretty boring. But there's not much else to do today. And now you're just staring up at the sky of Lohac, bored really. Nothing interesting has really happened as of late, apparently, you're waiting for something. That's what your friends, well, that's what Rose had told you. She seems to know everything so you're believing her for now. But listening to her is getting boring so maybe you should just- Is that a portal?

It looks like someone just ripped open the sky and the other side of the rip is also neon green. Kinda ugly, if you would say so yourself. And now someone is falling out of the portal, of course. Why wouldn't they be? Wait your planet consists of way too much lava you should probably catch them. Yeah, that's actually a good idea before they boil alive in the Great Lava Ocean.

There was indeed someone falling from the sky as if they wanted to. All they, no, all you wanted to do was investigate some really weird-looking flat green blob that just so happened to be in your bedroom. Of course, it wasn't rational to go anywhere near it but you didn't feel like fighting curiosity. You were going to walk away from it but it felt like you were being pulled toward it. Literally, and then before you knew it you were thrown from your bedroom down into the endless pits of what you had assumed was hell.

And then you... Weren't..? Did you die? You couldn't tell due to your eyes being shut tight enough even the light of the impending lava didn't penetrate your eyelids. It did feel like someone was holding you, and you could feel what could only be guessed as wind. You also felt your right hand holding tightly on the fabric of whatever (whoever?), was holding you within instinct.

You hear something hit the ground You think..? Along with your own heavy breathing, which you've now decided to focus on. You slowly open your eyes, it's bright. You see lava, a pitch-black sky, and a presumably metal platform you are on.
"You good?" You hear the person holding you say. They set you down carefully, which you're glad for because falling 20 ft from the sky really stunned you.

"I think.." You say, in a strained voice. You just noticed you aren't actually breathing, at all. Taking a deep breath, you speak again, "Thank you." God, your voice is still out of breath.

"No problem, and you should sit down. You look like you're gonna either pass out or turn blue." He said, holding his hand on your shoulder as if you might fall over. Nodding, you sat down. Whatever surface you were sitting on was really warm, but not burning. It felt like you were sitting on metal though. You laid on your back, and the heat emitting from the 'ground' felt comforting. You took another deep breath, trying to calm down.

"So, uh," The other person spoke up, looking at the sky, or what you assumed was the sky, "That portal thing you fell through kinda disappeared completely right after you fell through it, so you're kinda stuck." He shrugged. You peered at where he was looking, it was just about as pitch black as everywhere else above you.

"Oh." Was all you could muster to say, still trying to process the situation. Your breathing wasn't even slowing by this point. How was this other person so calm about this? Where even are you? You had at least a hundred questions swirling in your head and yet you just couldn't form words.

"Can I ask your name? I don't wanna just call you 'random guy in a suit'," He said, looking over at you, now sitting down. He was either really quiet or you just were not paying any amount of attention.

"Jaspers." You said, after a few seconds of hesitation. It's not like this stranger would use it against you. He made a face at that. "What?" You make a face back.
"Nothing, just familiar." He looks zoned out now, staring into space. There's a weird apple on his sunglasses now.

"What's yours?" You ask, raising an eyebrow. He takes a few seconds, still staring off into space.

"Dave," He says, kind of blandly. Somehow, it already feels weird for him to not be saying much. You gathered that he was a bit talkative but now he just looks lost in thought. Decidedly, you are now copying him, the black sky made you feel like you were asleep. You kind of wished you were. It was pretty late at home and whatever just happened made you feel really tired...
