A/N: This is a sequel to my book 'Love of a Lifetime'

Hey everybody, it's Mackenzie Rhoads Vandenberg once again and I'm here to take you on an exciting journey when I released an album with my great friend and my snake brother, David Coverdale.

But first, let me catch you all up on what I have been up to since last time.

After breaking off my engagement to Adrian the first time around, I moved to Nashville, TN., started my own band, V2.0, and signed to Mascot Label Group. A couple of years later, Adrian and I reconnected our relationship, he sacrificed living in Holland to move back to the states with me and we got married in a small intimate ceremony at the county courthouse with our closest friends and family.

Now here we are...

Last year David asked me if I would be interested in doing an album with him as a side project since we never properly worked and wrote together. At the beginning of this year, we released 'Timeless' and the response from the fans of Whitesnake and V2.0 have all been positive. About a month later I got a call from my PR manager and I never thought that I'd share a special moment with my Snake husband, Adrian, and my Snake brothers.

Right now I'm at home with Adrian as we were preparing dinner when my phone rang and saw that it was my manager calling me.

Mackenzie: Hey Kara, how are you doing?
Kara: Hey Kenzie, I'm doing good. I've got some great news for you.
Mackenzie: Ohhhh spill it girl, what is it?
Kara: So I got a call from the producer for VH1's "That Metal Show" and he along with Eddie, Don, and Jim want you and David to appear on the show. David already agreed to do it, so what do you say?
Mackenzie: Hell yes! Tell the producer that it would be an honor to do the show.
Kara: Perfect! I will let the producer know and I'll send you the details in a little while.
Mackenzie: Sounds good.
Kara: Alright, I'll talk to you later girl.
Mackenzie: Alright, bye girl.
Kara: Bye.

As soon as I got off the phone with Kara, Adrian could tell that I was extremely excited.

Adrian: Everything all good?
Mackenzie: Everything is terrific, David and I are going to be on "That Metal Show" to talk and promote our new album.
Adrian: That is amazing baby! <he said equally as happy as I am as he hugged me>
Mackenzie: I know. I'm going to call David and talk to him.
Adrian: Alright. Don't take too long though dinner is going to be ready soon. <he says lovingly and jokingly>
Mackenzie: Alright.

I left the kitchen to go to the living room to call David. I dialed his number and he answered on the second ring. We talked about answers to possible questions they might ask. While on the phone with David, we both received the email from our managers with the itinerary for filming next week. Upon viewing the itinerary together, David mentioned that since the taping for the show is going to be the same week of Rudy and Mia's wedding anniversary that we should do a special performance on the show. Adrian was listening in on our conversation and also agreed to do it.

Later that day, David sent a message to everyone from the 1989-1990 lineup about the idea and they all agreed. So we got on a video chat with everyone to discuss our plan for that week. Filming the show would be on next Wednesday and next Saturday we planned on doing something special for Rudy and Mia's wedding anniversary

***Time skip one week***

Adrian and I flew to Los Angeles last Friday since we all planned on rehearsing the song for the special performance for the show over the next couple of days. Wednesday came and it was time to get ready since we had to be there early to get everything set up and take the photos for the show. Our plan was that David and I are the guests on the show Rudy and his wife Mia, Steve, Tommy, and Adrian would be scattered in the audience to make it seem as if they were there to watch us, which they were. After rehearsing on the set to make sure everything worked well and all the great stuff, we all went backstage to get ready to start taping the show.
