Wakai's POV

I ran back down the edge of the highway after setting up the prawnposal. Zed was fiddling with the finishing touches on a giant red arrow in the middle of the road, while Zoey stood near him. "Zed!" I called. "Hurry up, the bus will be here any minute!" He nodded, "I'll be quick, I promise!"

The sound of a vehicle came from around the corner. I tugged Zoey off the road and called, "ZED! Hurry up!" Zed looked behind him, horrified, as the Seabrook Cheer bus came closer. He desperately tried to fix the last lightbulb, then the bus hit the ladder he was standing on, sending him flying.

The bus crashed off the edge of the road and drove into the forest. I ran after the bus, Zoey following behind. When we reached the crashed bus, I took in the scene. The bus had crashed into a tree, the Shrimpy mascot was running around, Bree was screaming, and Bucky was fainted on the ground.

I jogged over and lifted my brother into the bus. "BREE! SHRIMPY!" I called out to the crazed pair. They stopped running and screaming. "'Kai! We crashed, and then Addy ran off!" Bree called, running over. I sighed, then turned to the distressed cheerleaders. "Okay. Zoey, stay here. I'm gonna go find Addy and Zed. Let someone actually capable handle this." Then I ran off into the woods.

I followed Addison's footprints, until they faded out. Then I found a scrap of Addy's cheer uniform snagged on a bush. I ran along until I felt a strong hand on my shoulder. "Willow? What are you doing?" A low voice growled. I spun around slowly. "I'm... Not Willow."

I was staring right into the chocolate brown eyes of a strange boy. His hair was drak brown, with a white patch at the front. He had a dark purple mark on his cheek, and he was wearing a grey vest with fur on the shoulders. A smooth stone necklace hung around his neck. Despite all that, there was no denying he was handsome. What am I thinking!?  I scolded myself.

"Oh. Of course. You're not... Who are you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. My voice caught in my throat. I coughed lightly. "I don't think I should tell you that." I said cautiously. He grinned wolfishly, displaying sharp fangs.

I gasped, stumbling back a few steps. He frowned, "What?" He stared at me intently and gasped too. "You're... Not a werewolf." I crossed my arms, "No. Obviously not." But then, was he implying that he was a werewolf?

I turned. "No." I said to him, "This is crazy. You are crazy. I've gotta go find Zed and Addy." Then I ran. I could hear the stranger's footsteps thudding behind me, and I ran faster. I came to another clearing, that sloped downwards on the other side. Maybe I can hide down the hill, I thought.

I dashed towards the edge, unaware of the stranger behind me until I reached the edge of the clearing. It turned out that it didn't slope downwards like I thought it had. It dropped off, maybe ten, twelve meters. But I was going too fast to stop.

I screamed as I lost my footing. I closed my eyes and prepared to feel the rush of wind in my ears, before I presumably died. But it didn't come.

Strong arms wrapped around my torso, dragging me back. Then me and the stranger, who had saved me, fell backwards onto the ground, both breathing heavily.

Wyatt's POV

I ran through the forest. Under orders from Willa, we were to fan out and find the intruders. I heard a distressed, high pitched voice calling, "Zed? Zeeed?" But I figured she was heading towards where Willa was, so she'd take care of that. Then a scent hit my nose. A sweet scent of pine and strawberries and honey. I frowned, and stalked in the direction it was coming from.

I followed it to one of the many clearings in the forest. A wolf with dark hair stood in the middle of the clearing. Willow Steele the obnoxious flirt, I thought, placing a firm hand on her shoulder. "Willow? What are you doing?" I asked, annoyed. She spun around slowly. "I'm... Not Willow."

I found himself staring at a wide-eyed girl with long, wavy brown hair. She had warm brown eyes and curled eyelashes. She was wearing a pink cardigan tied above her bellybutton, with high waisted blue pants and a messy bun. My heart gave a jerk and I widened my eyes.

"Oh. Of course. You're not... Who are you?" I asked awkwardly. The girl opened her mouth, then closed it again. She coughed. "I don't think I should tell you that." She said cautiously. I grinned at her shyness.

The girl gasped, stumbling back a few steps. I frowned, "What?" I stared at her intently, then realised that she didn't have fangs and gasped as well. "You're... Not a werewolf." The girl crossed her arms, "No. Obviously not." If she wasn't a werewolf, then... why did she have the distinct pine-tree smell of one?

She turned away.. "No." She said to me, "This is crazy. You are crazy. I've gotta go find Zed and Addy." Then she ran. I took off after her, wondering who on earth Zed and Addy were. I followed her into 'Drop-off clearing', named after the cliff on the other side.

Unaware, the girl dashed towards the edge. I ran after her, trying to catch her before she went over the edge. I saw the horror dawn in her face as she saw the drop, and her attempt to stop. I heard the girl scream as she slipped, and I lunged forward, grabbing her under the arms.

I dragged her back, then I stumbled and fell onto the ground, panting. The girl leant against me, shaking. Then she gasped again and stood up. "I've gotta find Zed." She ran the opposite direction, then paused. "My name's Wakai, by the way." I grinned as she ran off, then stood up and went to find Willa.
