The Laundromat Scene

The wait

*They arrive at the hospital and wheel Angela straight to the O.R*

Tim- Lucy! is she ok!?

Lucy- *crying* I don't know... she started coding in the ambulance, they took her to surgery

Tim- *pulls Lucy in for a hug* she'll be ok, she's strong

Lucy- I hope so...

*A couple hours later, the rest of the team had arrived they are all waiting in the waiting room*

Wesley- where is she!

Lucy- she's in surgery.

Wesley- how did none of you realize she was shot!?

Lucy- we were chasing after a suspect, Aaron and Celina were dealing with the other 3, she never said anything on the radio

Wesley- and when you got back? you didn't realize she wasn't with you?

Lucy- *on the brink of tears* I-

Tim- not right away, but Juarez noticed and that's why we found her.

Doctor- family of Angela Lopez?

Wesley- yes that's us! I'm her Husband, is she ok?

Doctor- We were able to remove the bullet, she should make a full recovery

Wesley- *sighs of relief* thank you doctor, when can we see her?

Doctor- in about an hour, we wanna settle her into the ICU

Wesley- ok, thank you

*He turns to his friends*

Wesley- she's gonna be ok!

Lucy- Thank god *tears in her eyes, she runs to Wesley and hugs him*

*Everyone else sighs and smiles*

Lucy- I'm so sorry Wesley... *tears streaming down her face*

Wesley- it wasn't your fault, she'd kill me if I let you think it was.

Grey- As happy as this is, we really need to get back to the station to catch the bad guys

Lucy- Sir, can i stay here with Wesley?

Grey- yeah, Tim why don't you stay behind as well. Call us with any updates!

Lucy- will do!

*A couple hours later, Angela's eyes begin to flutter open. She looks around and sees Wesley asleep at her bedside and Lucy asleep in a chair*

Angela- What happened?

Wesley- Ange! you're awake, we were worried

Angela- i'm ok Wes, where are the kids?

Wesley- with my mom, don't worry they're safe. How are you feeling?

Angela- Hurts like hell

*Lucy wakes up*

Lucy- Hey, you're awake! How are you?

Angela- been better. Have you been here all night?

Lucy- i couldn't bring myself to leave... Tim was here too but he got called back to the station

Angela- Did we get Monica?

Lucy- not yet... she's somewhere on the run

Angela- damn it

Lucy- look Ange... im really sorry we didn't get to you sooner, we-

Angela- *cuts her off* Lucy it wasn't anyone's fault, we all were dealing with stuff in an intense moment. And i didn't radio anything so you guys wouldn't have had a reason to worry. I knew you'd find me in time

Lucy- Idk what I would've done if we hadn't...

Angela- i'm ok don't worry *she reaches her hand out to Lucy*

Lucy- *grabs her hand* Love you Ange

Angela- Love you too Luce *she smiles*

*Lucys phone starts ringing*

Lucy- it's Grey *she answers* hey Sarge what's up?

Grey- How's Angela?

Lucy- she's awake, I was filling her in on the case

Grey- make sure to tell her this too... Oscar and Jason just escaped from Prison

Lucy- oh my god... ok *she hangs up*

Angela- what's wrong?

Lucy- um... Oscar and Jason just escaped from Prison

*Wesley and Angela share a worried look with each other*

Lucy- don't worry... this place is crowded with cops rn and i will personally stand guard at your door

Angela- thanks Luce

Lucy- of course, i could bare the thought of anything happening to you.
