A boy was walking down the hallway, surrounded by a bunch of teenagers. Not knowing their thoughts could break anyone to the core, but they still gossiped nonsense. And there's something funny about this. You know what?

The petite boy is deaf, completely deaf. He can't hear a single word they are talking about.

Their eyes pierced his soul, sending shivers down his spine. He let out a tired sigh and continued walking, spotting his friend Jasper waving at him. He walked up to Jasper with a small smile.

"So, how was your morning, Tracy?" Jasper asked in sign language, circling his arms around the small boy's shoulders. Tracy shrieked a small squeak. They had been best friends since middle school, which is why Jasper learned sign language to communicate with Tracy.

"Good," Tracy replied, giving a thumbs up. Jasper giggled, and they both stepped inside the classroom.

Everything went smoothly, as usual, until lunch break. Tracy and Jasper made their way to the canteen. Every student was already there, and they found a vacant table.

"Let me fetch something for us," Jasper signed towards Tracy. Tracy nodded and occupied the table. After a few minutes, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Turning around, he saw Jordan and his minions smirking at him. Tracy gulped in fear.

"Now, now, now, look who we have here, Mr. Deaf—oops, I mean Mr. Smith," Jordan mocked. Tracy avoided his gaze, but Jordan grabbed his collar, jerking him from his seat.

"Don't you dare ignore me, you stupid lamb," Jordan said with a wicked smile. Tracy struggled to get free, but the grip only tightened, and everyone started laughing. Tracy's eyes began to water.

"Aww, our little lamb-lamb is crying," Jordan mocked, trying to act innocent before bursting into laughter.

Jordan dropped to the ground when a strong punch landed on his face, making him wince in pain. His minions stiffened as they watched the furious boy.

"Didn't I tell you to stay away from him?" Jasper growled, his eyes shot red and his deep voice sending shivers down everyone's spine.

He turned back to his friend, whose face was flushed, tears rolling down his cheeks. Jasper wiped them away carefully.

"You are still under his manipulation, Jasper," Jordan sneered, holding his cheek.

"Shut up and leave before I tell the principal you were bullying a student," Jasper growled, making everyone flinch.

"Huh, then stay with this weakling," Jordan scowled before leaving.

"It's okay. You're fine," Jasper signed.

Everyone stared at them, some with disgust, others with pity. Jasper glared at them before they both exited the canteen. They ended up sitting on the rooftop, eating their lunch. Jasper munched on his sandwich while Tracy sipped his cherry juice.

"Y-yo-u s-s-ho-oul-d-dn't h-a-ave h-i-it h-i-m-m," Tracy stammered. Jasper just kept looking at the blue sky.

"Why?" Jasper asked, watching Tracy with a monotone look. Tracy read his lips before answering.

"T-th-ey w-w-i-ll t-h-h-i-nk y-y-ou'-r-re l-i-ik-e m-e-e," he said, choking on his words.

"Ha, you don't have to worry about it. Let them think whatever they want. I don't care," Jasper signed to ensure Tracy understood.

"Hmm," Tracy nodded and continued sipping his juice. Jasper cooed at the boy's cuteness, ruffling his hair and earning a giggle from Tracy.
