Chapter 1

I woke up to the sound of my alarm that was blaring in my ears. I woke up and I wasn't really familiar in where I was. I just moved yesterday so it took me a while to just absorb everything. First fay of school.. Yup, it sucks that much. I hopped into the shower and changed into a nice plane black croptop and a ripped jeans. I stuffed my books inside my bag and shoved my phone in my pocket.

"Morning Aunt Emma" I shouted.

"Morning Kate, breakfast's ready!" She announced.

I live with my Aunt because thing aren't going well with my parents. They got divorced and still have a nice relationship but after what happened things are just weird and awkward so they let my aunt be my second mother, she doesn't have a husband yet anyways. My parents would come every holiday and we'll just have fun but in normal days everything was just empty.

I ate the pancake aunt Emma made me and she gave me a tight hug and I went walking to the stop sign and waited for the bus. I was playing with my phone trying to ivnore people that are passing by because I don't socialize that much I guess.

"Hey, I see you're new in the neighborhood" I heard a voice.

"Umm yea,, im Kate" I introduced myself.

There stood a pretty tall boy with brown eyes and brunette hair. He was towering over my medium sized body. His smile was perfect and he is just... Hot.

"Im Shawn, your neighbor, the one right beside your house" He explained.

"Ohh okay, nice to meet you. I bet we're going to the same destination?" I giggled.

He nodded and the bus came. We sat together on the bus and he started to tell me things about the school and how people are so nice and all that. He told me that he loves singing and so do I. I love singing. We went out of the bus and a blonde girl came rushing to our way.

"Babe!!" She called out and hugged shawn.

What?! I girlfriend?! Kill me right now. She gave me a dirty look and I stepped further away from them. Then a boy came towards me and giggled.

"They are the grossest couple huh?" He laughed.

"Umm am I supposed to agree to that?" I wishpered.

Shawn rolled his eyes at him and he left. Shawn was all over that girl and it made me kinda upset and mostly awkward, so I walked away from them when Shawn wasn't looking. I struggled finding my class but I went through my first day and met a girl called Kylie. She is pretty and she have a big ass blue eyes.

Aunt Emma picked me up from school and I waved goodbye to Kylie. Right Fter I did that and was about to walk to my car I felt someone grabbing my wrist. It's Shawn.

"Hey" I jumped.

"Hey, you were all gone today. Mind if I take you around this afternoon?" He asked.

"No, so how do I see you?" I asked.

"Can I have your number?" He gave me his phone.

I typed my number and he gave me a smile and left to his group of boys. I entered the car and aunt Emma gave me a cheesy look and I know what she meant and where she is going with that look.

"So shawn huh.." She chuckled.

"What? You know him?" I asked in surprise.

"Like everyone in town knows him darling" She laughed. "He's famous from vine"

"Owwhh well, not that famous to me" I giggled. "He seemed like a very nice guy"

"He is, he's an amzing singer just like you." She announced.

"Well Im going somewhere with Shawn this afternoon" right after I said that I felt my phone buzzing.

I click my phone on and it is a text from Shawn. I ran up to my room and boinced into my comfy bed.

Shawn :
Hey it's Shawn! I'll see you at the bus stop?

Kate :
Aight, be there in a sec Mendes

Shawn :
How did you know my last name?

Kate :
The teacher called youfor your attention and it was pretty funny😂😂

Shawn :
I was colouring my hand.. That's studying😂,, but anyways what's yours?

Kate :
Mine's Hamilton, Kate Hamilton. Im gonna go get ready! Meet you there!

I shoved my phone in my bag and hopped into my humongous closet. I took a black, flowy tanktop, a denim short shorts and put my vans on. I peeped through my window and now I know that Shawn is really really my neighbor. I can see him from my room. I saw him changing and im bring a creep right now. I saw a guitar beside his bed and how stupid he is that he didn't see me.

I ran up to the bus stop after Aunt Emma told me a long ass speech of how valuable the dinner tonight is gonna be and how precious is time. I saw Shawn fiddling with his fingers beside the bus stop and he gave me a smile. I waved at him and ran faster.

"Hey Kate! You look amazing" he complimented.

"Thanks and you're not so bad yourself" I shrugged.

"So where are we going Mendes?" I giggled.

"To the lake, im sure you bring change" he winked.

"About that.." I laughed.

He pulled me and we walked a couple of blocks away. I just wish I can drive but Im graduating anyways in another year so im getting my license soon. We hopped into this park that didn't have that much people around and we went deep into the forest. then there was this beautiful lake.

"Wow it's amazing" I admire the place.

"Yea, I know you'd love this place" he giggled.

Then he spooned me from the ground with his strong arms and I was kicking in struggle to put myself down. He was cracking up but I was terrified yet laughing along with him.

"Mendes put me down!" I shrieked.

"You need to promise me you'll never call me mendes ever again" he stated.

"I don't mind doing that just don't plunge me into this ice cold water!!" I screamed.

"That's a deal" he chuckled and placed me back on the ground.

I chased after him and he tripped on a rock and hurt himself. His head hit the tree trunk but I was still laughing my ass off.. At least he's still alive and laughing. He hissed but he still laughs. He fell down to his knees and that's when I stopped laughing and starts worrying.

"Oh my god Shawn are you okay?" I wishpered.

"I-I" he stuttered. "This hurts like hell"

"Ohh my god you dumb shit, I was worried" I sighed.

I asked him to take off his shirt and he did it instantly. What a weird guy but at least im enjoying this. I dipped a tiny part of his shirt into the water and start cleaning the blood on his forehead. I bit my lip and things got tense. He was looking straight into my eyes and my lips.

"Umm Shawn baby" We boths got off our thoughts.

"Megan, what are you doing here?" Shawn stood up and snatched his shirt from my hands.

"What is this bitch doing here? Come on, let me clean those cuts" she started to touch Shawn making me jealous.

"Shawn, Im gonna go. Bye" I ran away from them and I feel like crying but I didn't

Shawn's POV

Honestly I would've chased after Kate. She's amazing, fun and beautiful, unlike Megan who just follows me around for fame. I don't want anyone to know that Im famous because then they'll treat me differently. Megan have been posting pictures of us and she have lots of haters that se never cared about because she is a strong girl. Even if I know she just want fame I still haven't find a way to break up with her. Kate is just different. A good different.
