In Amrit Hospital, a tense silence hung heavy in the air outside the operating room. Annika, a ball of nervous energy, paced restlessly. Rohan's surgery loomed large, and despite Shreya's assurances about his ability to walk again, worry gnawed at Annika's heart.

Ishita remained calm amidst the storm. Fueled by her dream of becoming a doctor, she decided to explore the hospital, hoping to familiarize herself with the layout and workings of a medical facility. After an hour of wandering the sterile corridors, she returned to find Annika glued to the same spot.

"Didi," Ishita chimed in, her voice laced with concern, "you haven't budged an inch since I left! It's only 11:00 AM. The surgery is still five hours away. Why don't you call Kavya Didi and check on the engagement? Sitting here won't make the surgery any faster. Besides, look at me! I've explored the entire hospital. Just imagine, once I complete my studies, I'll be a doctor working here!"

Annika, lost in the labyrinth of her worries, had completely forgotten about the engagement. "Oh Ishita," she sighed, "the engagement is happening right now at 11:00 AM. Kavya must be swamped and wouldn't be able to answer her phone. I'll call her later."

A frown creased Annika's brow. "And how could you just wander off alone? This isn't a park, Ishu! We need to be careful, especially in a new place."

Ishita, ever the spirited teenager, rolled her eyes playfully."But Didi, the hospital staff here is so nice! Everyone I met smiled and even directed me to a whole wing dedicated to physiotherapy! They might even have some cool posters about the human body; wouldn't that be interesting for my studies?"

Annika couldn't help but crack a small smile at her sister's enthusiasm. It was a welcome distraction from the knot of worry tightening in her stomach. "Alright, alright," she conceded. "But stay on the ground floor, and promise me you won't talk to anyone unless they initiate the conversation. Hospitals can be breeding grounds for germs, and we don't want you falling sick on top of everything else."

Relief washed over Ishita's face. "Thanks, Didi! I promise to be careful." With a quick hug, she darted off, her curiosity reignited.

Annika watched her go, a flicker of pride warming her heart. Ishita's determination and passion for medicine were truly admirable. Taking a deep breath, Annika decided to follow Ishita's advice. Picking up her phone, she dialed Kavya's number. The call went unanswered, which wasn't surprising considering the chaos of a engagement ceremony.

A gnawing hunger finally made itself known to Annika. Realizing she hadn't eaten since arriving at the hospital, she decided to grab a bite at the cafeteria. Opting for a simple idli sambhar and a cup of tea, she settled into an empty chair, savoring the warm breakfast.

Her peaceful moment was interrupted when someone slid into the seat opposite her. Annika's eyes widened in surprise as she recognized Akash Shrivastav.

"Hi, Annika! What brings you to the hospital? Everything alright?" he inquired, his voice laced with concern.

"Mr. Shrivastav, what a surprise! I wouldn't expect a hospital to be a place for chance encounters," Annika replied, wiping her mouth with a napkin. "What are you doing here?"

A playful smile tugged at Akash's lips. "You can't dodge a question by throwing another one back, Annika," he countered.

Annika couldn't help but let out a soft laugh. "It's just… a family member is undergoing surgery here. Now, tell me, why are you at the hospital?" she responded, deflecting slightly.

Akash shrugged. "Just a routine check-up. Since it required an empty stomach, I decided to have breakfast before heading out. As I was leaving, I spotted a familiar face, and here we are. "How long will the surgery take?" he inquired further.
