Ash was washing her face in the mirror. Her school started in 10 minutes. She had only just put in her uniform and still had to do her hair and eat breakfast
Suddenly, she heard a crash and scream from downstairs. She quickly ran down to see that her little sister had dropped a glass on his foot and it was now broken.
"Don't worry little guy, I'll fix it for you" Ash said as they stared at it in dismay. She had no idea how she would do that, but it's the thought that counts, right? That's what everyone told her.
This had somehow taken up a lot of time, and Ash realised that she was late to school when she checked her watch. She quickly tied her hair into a messy bun, put on her shoes and rode her bike down the road. She would miss breakfast today. It would take a couple of hours to get their since she didn't have enough money for a cab. Oh well.
Ash pedalled her bike as fast as she could so that she could get there reasonably late and avoid a call home again. Her parents, who were quite strict, were extremely angry after Miss Forster called about her lack of homework. It wasn't even her fault. Someone had been distracting her while she was doing it so she had to say that her dog ate it.
