"What's wrong with my daughter?"

"What's wrong with my daughter?"

Lilian looks back at Ivan and Bjorn tentatively. She hadn't really thought of anything past this, if she was being honest. This is the furthest they've ever gotten to freeing the rest of the Bennetts. The fact of the matter is, knowing that they were trapped, for the last thousand years, as dark beings, as dark souls, puts a kink in their hopes and dreams of having everything back to the way it once was.

"Nothing is wrong with Imani," Ivar insisted, meeting Mbakus eyes, "she's alive."

"Is she not well? Why isn't she here?" Mbaku asks, feeling more worried as no one would answer their questions. "What have you done to her Mikaelson?" Mbaku stalks over to Elijah only for Bjron to stop him.

"He has done nothing," Bjorn pointedly looks down at a slowly waking Klaus.

"Father," Ebony mutters, vibrant green eyes silently pleading with him when he locks eyes with her.

"I won't ask again," Ayanna says, the air around them turning cold, "what's wrong with my daughter?"

"I believe it is better if we show you," Lilian tells her, walking away from them and heading in the direction of the school.

"I'm going to stay here for a bit," Bonnie tells Bjorn, looking down at a bloody Elena Gilbert, "put her away, maybe in her house for someone to find."

Bjorn grabs her face in his hands, looking deeply into her green eyes, "Are you okay?" Bonnie nodded. Bjorn shakes his head, "You have just killed your best friend for Imani, for family you've only known a short period of time for a best friend you've known your whole life. Tell me, what is on your mind?"

Bonnie bites her lip, a few tears welling up in her eyes. To be honest, she isn't doing well.

The Elena she just killed wasn't the Elena she grew up with. Up until the Salvatore's and even after, Elena had always been the friend to think of everyone before her, a martyr. They'd have slumber parties, giggle about boys, Elena would gush about Matt, and Bonnie would tell her about her new crush. Then Stefan came and she changed. Started keeping secrets, stopped putting as much effort into helping others and allowing The Salvatore's to save her and then try to attempt to save everyone else while putting presser on Bonnie to clean up after them.
