Taylor turned around to see Travis standing about four feet away.

"I didn't mean to eavesdrop but I heard that your car isn't running right now. Instead of taking the bus, do you want me to give you a ride? I know you have a kid, so we can stop by his daycare", Travis offered. His hands were in his pockets. This was the first time he was intimidated by a woman so much that he was nervous around her.

"Um, thanks but Selena has already offered to give me a ride", Taylor quipped politely.

"Oh, I totally would Tay but my car's windshield got smashed by hail last night", Selena said fakely, pouting her lip at Taylor. Taylor gave Selena a death glare.

"There was hail last night?" Travis asked, not picking up on the joking manner of Selena's demeanor.

"Yeah, but only in my apartment complex", Selena explained, regretting her choice of excuse.

"That's not how it wor...", Travis began but Selena was already in the mindset of returning to her detention class.

"I would love to stay and talk but I have a detention class to babysit. Have fun you two!" Selena chirped.

"Are you ready to go or do you need to grab something?" Travis asked, making eye contact with Taylor.

"No, I'm ready", Taylor answered, clutching her purse.

A few female students walked past Taylor and Travis walking side by side and paused their conversation to gasp at the sight.

"Are they dating?" they whispered amongst each other.

Travis opened the passenger side of his truck for Taylor, a gesture she wasn't used to.

"Thank you", Taylor said shyly.

"Of course", Travis smiled, starting the engine.

"What's the address of your son's daycare?" Travis asked, pulling open google maps on his phone.

"I'll just look it up", Taylor said, reaching for his phone. Travis's phone case was plain black but something about it was so manly. Taylor could still feel the warmth from Travis's hand on it and it sent shivers down her spine.

"Here", she said, handing the phone back.

But when Travis turned left, she smelled a whiff of his cologne and she was almost out. He had the perfect scent mixed with the perfect amount.

When they arrived at the daycare, Taylor unbuckled and got out. She was surprised when she saw Travis getting out as well.

Together, they walked into Kayden's daycare.

"Mommy!" Kayden cried, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Taylor immediately forgot that Travis was there and bent down, holding her little boy.

"What happened sweetie? Did you get a booboo?" Taylor asked gently, wiping Kayden's tears.

"Missed you", Kayden sniffled into Taylor's shoulder.

"Awe, I missed you too. Ready to go home now?" Taylor asked gently, wiping the remaining tears on Kayden's face with her thumb.

Kayden nodded his head of blonde and sniffled. He lifted his arms to Taylor and she picked the two year old up on her hip, him laying his head on her shoulder.

After Taylor had signed Kayden out and was carrying him and his little frog backpack to Travis's truck, Kayden finally noticed Travis.

"Mommy, whose dat?" Kayden asked, pointing to Travis.
