Soulmate System

Mirko: "I'm serious, Takami! There really is this whole new soulmate system across Japan."

"What even is a "soulmate system?" It sounds ridiculous."

Mirko: "So, basically, the soulmate system decides everyone's determined soulmate. It's as simply as it sounds."

"How do we find out who our soulmate is?" I was getting more and more interested. As much as I try to hide my feelings on romance I'm secretly a lover boy at heart. I just try to focus on my work as a hero but I want to get into the dating field and experience it like everyone else.

Mirko: "Their name is supposed to show up on your right wrist." We both looked at our wrists. Mirko wrist said "Fuyumi Todoroki", my best friend. My wrist had the name of Fuyumi's older brother, "Touya Todoroki." How? How is that possible? Touya is dead. It's been ten years since he died... what?

"How is this possible? He's dead..."

Mirko: "Takami... didn't he end his life ten years ago?" He did... so how is he name here?

"He did... Mirko... what is this supposed to mean? Touya's dead and has been for a damn decade."

Mirko: "Maybe he isn't dead?"

What? Not dead? His younger sister, Fuyumi is my best friend since kindergarten. I was there when he was declared dead. There is no way he isn't dead. No fucking way.

Eventually, Mirko and I split ways for the day. I went over to the Todoroki household. I needed my wrist to Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shoto in case their brother could actually be alive somewhere.

I just can't believe my wrist says "Touya Todoroki". It just doesn't make any damn sense.
