I was on the rooftop, enjoying a moment of peace, when I suddenly heard the distinct sound of approaching footsteps.
With curiosity piqued, I turned to find my classmate steadily making her way towards me. To my surprise, it was Asaka who rarely sought out social interactions.
As she came closer, I noticed a newfound confidence in her demeanor. She greeted me warmly, and we began chatting. It was unusual how talkative she was, as she had always been known for her quiet and shy nature in class."Can I ask you something?" she said quietly. I nodded, curious about what she had to say. She looked down at her feet and hesitated for a moment before asking, "Is there any possibility of you dating?"
I was a bit taken aback by her question, but I tried to understand her intentions. "What do you mean?" I asked, trying to understand where the conversation was going.
"Do you have a girlfriend? Right?" She said it. I noticed a bit of disappointment in her voice. I replied, "No, I don't have a girlfriend at the moment. What's bringing this up all of a sudden?"
"I mean, you're handsome, so I assume you are," she said, looking shocked at herself, and the next moment she tried to hide her blush.
I was surprised to hear her compliment me. It wasn't often that someone said something like that to me, especially considering how shy she usually was "Thanks..." I replied.
It awkward
I couldn't help but notice how she kept stealing glances at me, her attempts to hide her blushing failing. Her serious expression was a bit comical, especially given her usual shyness. I couldn't help but feel a bit intrigued by her sudden change in behaviour.
"You're staring, you know."Asaka's face turned red as I accused her of staring at me. She turned away, trying to hide her flushed face, but her ears were still bright red, giving her away. Despite her attempts to deny it, it was clear that she had been caught staring.
She smiled, her eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint. "Oh, come now. Is my gaze bothering you so much? Surely you can handle a little attention."
She took a step closer, her tone suggestive and playful. "After all, I'm just trying to get a closer look. Is that such a crime?""Staring too long at a person or to the point the point where the person feels uncomfortable is considered harassment."
She rolled her eyes, clearly not taking me seriously. "Oh, please. I'm not harassing you. I'm just admiring the view."
She took another step closer, her eyes roaming up and down my body. "Besides, I'll stop staring when you give me something else to focus on."
"Why are you even staring?"
Akasa raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by my question. "Why? Why not? Have you seen yourself?"
She blushed as she looked me up and down again. ,
"How come you have those beautiful eyes, pretty lips, and a handsome face?" as she started blushing even more."Excuse me?"
Her face flushed bright red. It was all so endearing, and I found myself strangely charmed by her embarrassed reaction.
I continued to watch her as she muttered to herself, her thoughts clearly racing a mile a minute. "Did he hear me? Oh gosh, what was I thinking? Did I really say that out loud?"
Her eyes darted towards me, then away again, her cheeks still burning with embarrassment.
"You realised I could hear you, don't you?"
She looked up at me, her eyes wide with disbelief. "You...you heard me?""Yes," I replied simply, my eyes fixed on her. "I heard you."
She flushed an even deeper shade of red, her embarrassment reaching a new level. "I-I...I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to say that out loud. I don't know what came over me."
