Emily and Richard are Lana's second parents and first home. Though Lana questions why her mother left her with them, she will always thank her for having them raise her.

Emily loves to take the young girl shopping. Ever since she was a little girl, Lana loved going with her grandmother to shops, sometimes just to look around. Emily sees a bit of her younger self in Lana, the sweetness and enthusiasm that the woman used to have.

Richard, though being a very busy man, enjoyed Lana's company. He loved her creativity and how interested the girl would be in his business. Young Lana loved hearing about the topics that were discussed in the business meetings and would ask questions constantly, even if she didn't have a clue on the discussion.

Lana and Lorelai have a tough relationship. Lana knows that her mother loves her, and though she wishes that they had that super close mother-daughter relationship, they don't.

Lorelai has always regretted giving Lana to her mother. She wished that she could have a close relationship with her and watch her grow up into the amazing person that she is today.

Lana doesn't hate her mother. She loves her mother, but she wishes that she got the closure that she wanted be able for their relationship to grow. She would see the woman during holidays and they would be fine together, but she would never have that relationship with her like Rory does.

though Lana and Lorelai don't have a close relationship, Rory and Lana are the complete opposite. The two love being around each other even with their differences in upbringing.

Lana remembers from childhood when she and Rory had would listen to music while being on the phone, and birthdays were so much fun for the two.

Rory wished that her sister lived with her and got to become closer to her best friend. Being able to learn their favorite songs and read each others favorite books and share clothes. Rory felt like Lana was more of a best friend than a sister.

Lana and Tristan have a complicated relationship. They're together, but they're not official. Tristan gets jealous when boys at Chilton flirt with her and try to pursue her, but he can't stop them because they're not together.

The minute Lana got accepted into Chilton during her freshman year, boys were fascinated by her and her looks, one of those boys being Tristan. The thing about Tristan is that he knew how to get the girl, his charm and looks made it easy to get any girl.

Lana and Tristan don't have the best relationship, but they both have a connection that is undeniable and she wouldn't want to be with anyone else.
