Mocha woke up feeling physically drained. Her body rejected every attempt she made to get out of bed. She felt the need to sleep, and it wasn't even a Saturday. The sun was blazing through her window, disturbing her shut lids. With a groan, she forced her body off her warm bed and walked to her bathroom.
Grabbing her toothbrush and violently scrubbing her teeth. Her round eyes were staring back at her through the mirror. She just then took note of her puffy eyes from crying so much last night.
She cried because her sister was upset with her. She cried because her sister was going through something and she couldn't do anything to help her. She even cried more when she heard Malia begging her father this morning at 3am to not send her away.
Mocha wasn't sure how long Malia would be gone for nor why she was leaving. Deep down, she knew that what her father said about Malia taking care of some business was all a lie. There was something going on.
Not to play ignorant, she knew deep down it had something to do with her. She wasn't sure why exactly was she involved, but hopefully once Malia returns everything will go back to normal. Well...as normal as normal can get.
Rinsing her mouth with mouth wash, she walked in her a bit too hot than normal shower. She likes it this way, and once she stripped down to nothing she gazed at the pierced nipples. It was one of her secrets.
Her eyes shut as laid inside the tub. Going back to memory lane, when she felt a but rebellious and got her nipples pierced. The night where she ever felt so...alive.
It was her sixteenth birthday, two years ago. Her father has finally given her permission to go out with her friends. Seeing that she was never allowed to so anything or go anywhere growing up, you could imagine the excitement that filled her insides when she walked to her father with trembling fingers.
Her father looked away from the files he held, gazing at Mocha that slowly walked towards him. Her eyes darting everywhere but to his. And as she finally stood in front of him, she mastered the courage to ask.
"Dad?" Edward, her father stared at her questioningly. Waiting patiently on her request. "Can I ask for s-something?"
Edward crunched his brows instead, not saying a thing for a minute straight. "What is it?"
"Tomorrow's my birthday and I don't really want to host a party like previous years..." She trailed off, intertwining her fingers together in front of her.
"Then what would you like instead?" Edward asked, studying his daughter. Studying all her nervous traits with concern.
Mochas' lips parted then closed. She was scared, why if her father blows up? She tried asking her mom but all she said was to her him instead. Which didn't really help her state.
Sighing she inhaled sharply. "My best friends and I wanted to go out..." She whispered, loud enough for Edward to catch. And as he frowned, she knew immediately what his answer will be.
"Go out?" Mocha nodded. "Go out where?" Mocha already practiced what to say here, even though her friends didn't tell her where exactly.
"Well firstly, we planned on eating out then we'll go to the beach after." She crossed her fingers behind her back. Watching his every expression.
Edward thought for a while, long enough to leave her shaking. "And who are this friends of yours?"
"Marcie and her sister Hazel." At least those words were genuine and she wasn't lying about who she'd be with.
