Chapter 13

(Kali)

"KALI" the queen called out to me.

"Guards help her up!" She yelled to them. They quickly made their way to us, and held me up on both sides. They started toward the exit of the colosseum while the queen lead the way. As they brought me across the field i saw the massive amounts of blood spilled throughout the grass. Most of it smelled like his, I smirked.

"Smirking while you can barely move your body, you are strong I will admit" Leonel said. I watched as she shot her signature cold glance.He stood near the exit watching us. His body seemingly already healed, but his clothes still bloodied and tattered.

"Don't, enough has happened!" I opened my mouth to retort, but her words had shut me up. I was glad she spared me the stare. We shuffled our way past him and made our way slowly back to the castle.

Instead of taking the usual turn to my room, we made several turns and climbed staircases id never taken. Eventually we made our way into a cluttered room.

Gadgets and tools lined the desk and floors. There was a bed in the corner and a person snoring loudly in it.

The Queen ran to her bed side and shook her awake. She jumped out of bed quickly and pulled a sleep mask off her eyes.

"WHAT IS IT! WHAT HAPPENED!" She screamed, worriedly looking around, then her eyes stopped on me, then the queen, then me again. She quickly put back on her sleep mask, and laid in the bed.

"Maze please, you must help her wounds seemed serious" the queen said as she pulls Maze out of bed. From the time it had taken to get here, id felt renewed. My healing had kicked in and most of my wounds had disappeared.

Maze got up close to me and inspected my body.
"She is fine, a few scratches you cannot tend to yourself, or you Cass you were taught to tend to wounds...yes?" Maze said, done inspecting me and making her way to the Queens side.

They started whispering to each other, however i could still hear them.

"Maze, I am the queen. I cannot take care of her myself  how will the guards see me" the queen whispered

"Cass, you wanted a connection, the chance is here, the guards will think you kind, some suspicion yes but they know the situation. if not tell her to tend to her own wounds. How did this even happen in the first place?!"

"I wanted a connection yes, but not this way!"

"Take what you can get, you can only spend so much time with her, you are the queen, your time is precious."

They ended their conversation as Maze rose into bed.

She wants a connection with me I thought as my face turned red. I tried to fight it off but

"Goodnight Maze" the queen said as we headed out. The guards no longer needed to hold me up, id regained more feeling in my body. My leg still injured however.

"You are limping, and your face is unnaturally red! Would you like help?" the Queen said, looking at me worriedly. I caught myself unable to respond to her and stood in silence.

The guards surprisingly took me by the arms.

"We shall take her back to her cell, your majesty" one says.
