In the year of 2040 the planet of earth suffered severe flooding due to global warning. Every country besides America was buried beneath the sea. All of the survivors fled to America. As the country progressed, a new leader named President Gold was elected and renamed America Decentria. The country, over time, became one big city. It is now the year 3001.

I made my way up to the side of the stage. The President was on stage giving a speech

to the people of Decentria on how he hopes to improve the city. I am the head of the Presidents security detail so I must be near him the whole time.

When President Gold completed his speech he took a few minutes to greet and thank

the people who came out too see him. Most of the time its just mothers wanting their babies held by him or the odd lonely woman trying to grab a kiss. A few moments later he asked me to prepare our departure to the palace.

We boarded a Battlestar-300 and began to prepare the ship for takeoff. The President

had just entered and thanked everyone for their work today. I always seen President Gold as a good man and the people of Decentria certainly liked him. Shortly, we began to takeoff. The President had requested that his wife meets him when we land.

We had just landed on the roof of the palace and President Gold walked out to his wife.

As I stepped out the President was walking into the palace ahead of me. I found this strange as he always gives me a report when we arrive back at the palace. I just guessed he had something important to tell his wife. When I entered I went to my room to get some sleep.

The next morningI was sitting in my chambers within the Presidents palace. A palace

servant interrupted me as I was looking over the Decentria skyline to inform me that the President had requested me to his office. I quickly got into my uniform and made my way to the office.

I made my way down to the Presidents office. When I walked in, the President was with

his wife and three Palace rebels. I quietly shut the door behind me and took a seat at the back of the room. When President Gold noticed me he made a gesture for me to approach him.

"Welcome Victoria," he said.

"How may I be of service," I said.

President Gold began to explain his schedule for the next five weeks. While I began to

takes notes of everything President Gold was saying, his wife stood at the window and remained silent. This wasn't normal for the Presidents wife. Normally she is talking non stop. I wondered if it had anything to do with the President requesting her when we landed, maybe they had a fight?. As I stared at his wife with curiosity, the office phone began to ring. The President picked up the phone and began to talk. About five minutes later the President started to sound worried.

"This can't be true, this can't be true," he said with shock.

"Commander Talbert wouldn't do such a thing," he shouted.

From the moment I heard Commander Talbert I rushed over. Commander Talbert is the

commander of the Decentria rebels. He has been President Golds second in command from the day he took office. President Gold hung up the phone and had a distressed look on his face.

"What is going on," I said.

"It was a call from Sector 8, they said that Commander Talbert has deployed 200 rebels

to take over the palace," he explained.

"Why would he do something like this, and what is Sector 8," I said with confusion.

"Sector 8 is a secret rebel division that was set up by me incase of a betrayal, you need

to take my wife to Sector 8 and tell them to destroy all communications with the Palace," he said.

Before I had a chance to come up with a better plan, the rebels had arrived. They were

down at the entrance of the palace showing documentation to the palace rebels. Suddenly, the rebels had turned their guns on the palace rebels and shot them. I ran over to President Golds wife and told her we had to leave. President Gold left the room and walked down the hallway. I ran out to the platform on the side of the palace with the Presidents wife.

When we arrived at the end of the platform, we boarded a Battlestar-300. Sector 8 had

been entered into the ships GPS. I set the ship to launch. As we lifted off the ground the Presidents wife was staring out the back of the ship. As we were in the air drifting away from the platform, the Presidents wife began screaming. I looked behind me and seen the President running onto the platform followed by 20 rebels. When I was about to cancel the destination and return to the platform to aid the President, the rebels shot him. Just at that moment the ship blasted off at 500 miles an hour.

About ten minutes into the journey the phone began to ring, I answered it. A man on

the other end confirmed that the President did not survive. When I tried to ask about Sector 8 the man hung up. I was still confused by all of this. Why did Commander Talbert order the death of President Gold? What is Sector 8?. Then I thought of the Presidents wife.

"Madame Sky," I said.

"Yes dear," she answered sadly.

"Do you have any idea what Sector 8 is?"

"I heard my husband talk about it before, it's a rebel base off the coast of North

Decentria. From what I heard, only my husband and the Vice President know about it"

"The Vice President? I never knew their was a Vice President," I said with confusion."

She continued to tell me about Sector 8. Apparently when we land we will be meeting

President M and her team. President M who was President Golds Vice President was hidden from the public and was made the President of Sector 8 in case anything like this happened. I

feel slightly betrayed by President Gold, if he kept such a big secret like this from me what else has he been hiding?.

We had just left Decentria airspace and began are approach to the coast. The Battlestar

had become slow and slower to save fuel. Our landing time to Sector 8 wont be until later on in the day. I decided to go to sleep.

Halfway through my sleep, I was awoken by Madame Sky. She told me that the phone

had been ringing for the past five minutes. On my way over to the phone, I let out a big yawn. I was extremly tired. I picked up the phone. A man on the other end told me that his name was Mike and that he was speaking to me a while ago.

"Hi Mike," I said with confusion.

"Please state the names of the passengers on board," he asked.

"Madame Sky and Victoria Henderson," I said confidently.

"Madame Sky? President Golds wife?"

"Yes," I said.

After confirming that the Presidents wife was onboard, Mike hung up. I just thought he

was generally rude because he hung up on me earlier so I didn't think much of it when he sounded surprised to hear Madame Sky was onboard. I walked back down to the middle of the ship and got into my bed and went back to sleep.
