✿︎ Asher's Pov ✿︎
After lunch, we strolled through a local market in Jaipur. The girls were shopping, and the rest of us were following them, soaking in the vibrant sights and sounds of the bustling market. Adiba was wearing a beautiful earring in her left ear and asked Himanshi, "How is it?"
I stood behind Himanshi, a smile tugging at my lips. "Earlier, this jhumka wasn't looking too good, but after you wore it, it became very beautiful," I said smiling.
Adiba blushed, and Himanshi nodded, adding, "Yes, you should buy it. Even Asher likes it."
After purchasing the earrings, we moved ahead and came across a bag shop. A tiny bag caught Adiba's eye, and she squealed, "Aww, that's so cute!"
Himanshi chuckled, shaking her head. "Cute? It's such a small bag. What will fit in it?"
Siddharth chimed in, joking, "Whether or not anything fits in this bag, your mind will fit comfortably, and then there will be more space left." He mocked, and unfortunately, I couldn’t help but chuckle as well.
Himanshi was about to retort, but Adiba gently touched her arm to stop her, giving me relief.
I was glad she was there—otherwise, I was sure those two would have ended up killing each other.
We continued our stroll and came across a shoe shop, where we decided to go inside. Adiba and Himanshi were immediately drawn to the beautiful collection of shoes and heels, with Jaipuri-style prints adorning them.
Adiba's eyes landed on a stunning pair of heels. But when she tried them on, they didn’t quite fit.
"Do you have a slightly bigger size?" she asked the shopkeeper.
The shopkeeper smiled and assured her, "Ma'am, this is the right size. Try it properly, and it will fit."
Adiba tried again, but the heels still didn’t fit comfortably. The shopkeeper suggested, "Let me try," but I immediately felt a pang of jealousy at the thought of someone else touching her.
"Nah, I’ll try," I said, kneeling down in front of her.
Adiba quickly protested, "Arey, nahi, nahi, rehne do!" while trying to remove the heels from her feet.
I smiled softly. "It’s fine, let me try, please?"
She hesitated but then nodded. I picked up the heels and gently helped her put them back on. This time, they fit perfectly! Adiba looked at me with a confused expression.
Himanshi chuckled and said, "It’s looking beautiful, Asher. Now, please make Adiba wear the matching heel on her left foot as well."
I smiled and helped Adiba put on the other heel. She stood up, and we all admired how stunning she looked in the heels. The shopkeeper grinned, "I told you, ma'am, it was the right size!"
We all laughed, and Adiba blushed, her radiance matching the sparkle in her eyes as she stood in the new heels.
Himanshi laughed and teased, "Abhi aunty yaha hoti toh bolti, ‘Adiba beta, chal kar dikhao.'"
Adiba playfully replied, "Han, abhi chal kar dikhati hun," and started walking, but in her heels, she accidentally stepped on a shoe and lost her balance.
