Ami's POV:
I was painting the same scene again, a girl drowning. As I was staring at the painting I saw a boy come out of the water, to be honest, it caught me off guard. The boy passed by me. Something about him made me curious. I stud there frozen before reacting again and finally speaking.
"Oh hello." I said while looking in his direction, but he wasn't answering.
Freminet's POV:
I was diving like normal until I emerged from the water and saw a girl painting, but, she seemed scared or shocked. I passed by her so I wouldn't disturb her but she suddenly started talking to me.
"Hi." I replied in a soft tone, I don't like talking much so I hope this doesn't evolve into a long conversation.
"Sorry for not speaking sooner, you just caught me off guard while I was deep in thought, I'm Ami, by the way. What's your name?" The girl who I now know is called Ami said. She had a bubbly tone but with a hint of softness.
"Uh, I'm Freminet." I didn't know where this was going so I'd rather not talk.
"Not much of a talker, huh?" She said while looking at me "well that's not a problem, tell me, what were you doing in the water?"
"Uh, I was diving." I really don't know what else to say.
"Wow, that sounds cool, do you... never get scared?" It sounds like she is genuinely scared of the sea.
"Not at all, it's actually very beautiful, you should try it sometime"
"I'll pass on that, but thanks for the suggestion." She sounded very nervous while saying that. I hope I didn't make her uncomfortable.
After that I stayed quiet and it quickly became a little awkward before Ami spoke again.
"Shoot it's getting late I should start packing." She said while storing some art supplies, I looked at the painting of the girl drowning and it made me a little uncomfortable but I was still looking at it while speaking to Ami.
"So... you paint?" Archons I wish I was better at socializing.
"Yeah, heh, so... I have to go now, I hope to see you again." And with that she Ami grabbed her painting case and walked away, something about her made me want to see her again.
Not long after I too, returned home.
