Emily slid under the rock in the thick slime mud, the dampness soaking into her shirt and through the bandages on her ribs. She took her hat off and tried to push her way forward, shutting off the memories screaming inside her skull.

The passage dipped slightly. Emily moved to the side, forcing her hips to twist against the slowly growing cave's rock icicle. The rock pinched her.

She sucked in her breath, trying make herself smaller. It worked.

She managed to slide forward, gaining a few inches.

The ground crumbled beneath her.

The angle increased.

She took another breath and slid forward into the darkness.

Her movement tore off a bandage. She winced, sucking in her breath.

It was enough to get her forward a few more inches.

Suddenly she careened forward - falling face first into a puddle. The water was achingly cold and she gasped.

"You ok, hon?" Indy asked, his voice slightly muffled.

Emily rose out of the water, her eyes burning from the minerals, her face covered in mud. She hit her head on the rock above her. She hissed trying to steady her breathing. Her stomach pressed against the hard damp ground, water dripped onto the back of her injured neck, the minerals stinging against the open wound, washing away the poultice and the herbal that allowed Emily to see in the dark. The triangular shape of the rock pinned her against the cold damp ground.

She put her hands against the side of the passage, trying to push the memories away. But it seemed like the passageway was getting smaller.

"Em?" Indy asked again.

Emily screamed. She was back in the tomb.

"Get her outta there, Shorty!"
