"ITS GOING TO RAIN SOON"

Wednesday, 16:11
Class is finally over. As I'm walking out, I'm stopped by a hand being placed on my shoulder. Seriously, why can't I go through a day without being interrupted?
I turn around and see Iida.
"Walk with me?" He asks.
I nod in agreement and we walk back to the dorms in silence. When we go to our dorms to change, we say goodbye before separating. After I walk down the stairs to go outside, I notice Iida standing beside the door, seeming as though he's waiting for someone.
I wave at him before walking out the door, but instead of waving back, he follows me out.
Huh. I guess I'm the someone he was waiting for.
"I'm going on a walk. You coming with?" I ask him.
"If you don't mind," he responds.
"Okay, but it's going to rain soon."
"I brought an umbrella."
We walk off campus and go to a park nearby. The walk is, for the most part, silent, until on the way back, after it's started to drizzle, Iida speaks up.
"y/n?"
"Yes?"
"Have you ever thought about what it would be like if you were a fish?"
The randomness of the question caught me off guard and I can't help but to laugh.
"Wha- I'm serious! Just imagine it!"
I laugh harder. "Iida, it's so hard to take your question seriously when you're talking about being a fish. That's really goofy, you know that, right?"
He huffs. "Yeah. But hear me out, okay?"
"Okay." I calm myself down so I stop laughing, trying to take him seriously.
"If I were a fish, I think I would be a bass."
Okay, what the fuck.
I start laughing again, harder this time. Now, Iida starts to chuckle.
"And to think that I thought you might actually be serious." I smile.
"Me? Serious? Never." Iida smiles back.
I'm starting to like his smile.
