    Tori's POV

"Highschool has been some of the best years of my life." I begin my speech. "On the way, I've met new people, learned new things, and created unforgettable memories that I will take with me throughout the rest of my life."

I pause. All eyes are on me. I search the crowd and spot my family, I give them a quick smile before continuing.

"If it weren't for my amazing teachers and classmates, i dont know how i could possibly have made it this far. I would like to thank everyone for supporting me and all my fellow graduates as we start our new lives as young men and women. Thank you."

I give a small smile and return to my seat as the crowd cheers. I look to see my mom with tears pouring down her cheeks and a huge smile on her face. My dad is next to her grinning while giving me a double thumbs up. I let out a small laugh. My younger brother, Jayden, is sitting with both earbuds in playing on his phone. I sigh. Will he ever be supportive of me?

Once I was home, I quickly ran into my room and jumped on my bed. Im free. I thought.

I laid there, staring at the ceiling for about ten minutes. My mind wandering. I decided I should do something useful.

I rolled off my bed and began to tiptoe down the stairs. The house was dark and dead. My parents were asleep as they usually are by 10:30 and Jayden was in his room playing mine craft.

I quietly opened the fridge and found nothing. "Why don't we ever have food?" I whispered quietly to myself. I walked over to the pantry and, again, found nothing. Whatever. I poured myself  a glass of milk and walked back to my room.

I crawled into bed, wrapped myself in blankets and reached for my phone. No notifications per usual. I'm not very popular.  I turned off my bedside lamp and let my mind wander.

What will college be like? Who will my roommate be? Will my teachers be friendly? Will I make new friends?

Will I meet the one?
