One week later

"Jessica" Josh said. I turned around and he was running towards me. My mind was thinking about things. Do he have prof ? Why did my parents have a guilty look on there face? I mean they are my parents aren't they? So many unanswered questions. My thoughts were interrupted by Josh's hand on my shoulder. I look at him and he was out of breath. I started to get worried " yes, what happened?" He looked up at me and said " oh nothing I just wanted to know something?" I looked down waiting for him to go on. He then started "promise you won't get angry." I just nodded with my fingers crossed behind my back. Hey, you can't stop me from being angry if I am. If it's something that would make me angry than I'll be angry. "Was your parents home last night?" I made a face. Why do he need to know that. Than I said" no, it was their anniversary." He said "oh really?" I made a fist at that comment. " What you think they were lying!!!!" He looked down and whispered " no, I know they were lying."

I was angry my parents are not liars. " where is the prof," I scuffed. He took my hand and pulled it near a news paper. He than put in my face and it said: Mr. and Mrs. Coats were seen yesterday at the mall speaking to a unknown person they were supposedly seen stealing by an unknown resource. Are they working with the mask murders? Is in fact there daughter Jessica there daughter? Is she going to join the dark side? We will keep you updated.

I couldn't believe these people making up a story like that. I turned to look at josh and said" we will speak at lunch."Later that day at lunch Alisha and Josh were eating something. I did not feel the urge to eat. Alisha looked up at me with a worried face. " what's wrong," she asked softly. " people want my parents to be a bad guy but they are not" I replied. Alisha looked at Josh and nodded than back at me. " did you ask your parents if you were adopted" they asked. I nodded and told them their reactions and answer. Alisha cleared her throat. " confront them about this tonight and tell me there reactions to this because we are going to find out the truth" she said. I nodded and smiled. My friends caring about me. I felt like harry potter except he had something to worry about I don't but I don't think this is just a little subject this is the beginning.

At dinner I was being a great actress. I looked like I was crying. " what happened what's wrong" my mom said. Before I could say anything the rest of the family came rushing in. " it's nothing" I said. They all looked at me. My father than said"it has to be you were crying." I shook my head and yelled " leave me alone I said that it was nothing ok George!!!!" I just called my father by his first name. Everyone in the house was stunned I started to stump away but my dad pulled me back." where do you think you are going missy? You are not going any where until you explain yourself." I put my head down than put an angry face on than yelled " me, how about you two." I pointed at them than slammed the news paper on the table than ran upstairs.

Alex( P.O.V)

Jessica ran upstairs. I than looked at the news paper and read the bold words. I looked at my parents in discuss. I than put it down back on the table and asked" what the hell is this?" My parents look at the paper and had a guilty look on their faces. " Is this true?" They didn't answer so than I ran after Jessica. I went in her room and sat down on the bed. I hugged her tightly. I knew it was true. That means she was in danger. She could die. Her parents didn't want her because she was special. She was not normal. This could only end in War or death.
