Next morning as the sun has illumined a new day with its brightness and the whole palace is rescued from the night's darkness, the newly welcomed spirits are back again between the carved bricks.
Since the king has returned from the journey, the castle is back in its normal order, the instructions moreover replaced for the betterment of their ruler's wellbeing and recovery. He has been dressed with new bandages early morning and after taking his breakfast as well, Namjoon is walking towards the Scottish Prince's suite, with the thought nagging in his mind to investigate about the people and the reason behind this attack. He has given almost four days' rest to himself and it is sufficient as he will sooner or later have to discuss this in the court.
Namjoon's gaze drifts off to the gardens outside the castle which can be seen from the corridor where he's walking. From the windowless arches, the garden is pinpointed to the location he stands and the more he stares at the garden, the more he thinks about his prince, who he has left with the first touch of sun rays. He hasn't stayed to welcome the rouse of the prince nor has he awoken him on behalf of his need to see the blue eyes early morn. Namjoon has left him to sleep longer when he has found himself unable to rest beside his lover when a squall of thoughts, confusion and fears haunted his mind.
He halts by the locked door of his brother's, inspecting around to find a knight or a guard. But instead of the torches which blow a thin trail of smoke from the embers, there is no shadow of a human being in front of the doors. The lack of protection regarding Taehyung's safety is the very priority he should affirm, and where are these bloody guards he placed for his brother?
"Tae—" Namjoon hovers his knuckles upon the wooden door to knock, but his voice streams away when he hears the lowered voices and lewd suckles, slaps and collision of skin rising from inside. The king's eyes widen and he stumbles back, then slaps a hand on his forehead suspecting that Jungkook might be with his brother. "On the second's notice, I'm glad there's no one out here." He mutters to himself and rubs his temples to calm the ridiculous fright which overcome his mind—since he had momentarily forgotten about the knight and all.
The second wave of pleas comes in rush and beyond coherence, and it takes all the tolerance in the king not to listen to the pleasurable cries of his brother. Regarding this new relationship Taehyung has started with Jungkook—it hasn't still marked as an everlasting relationship for the king. It isn't like Namjoon didn't believe in the knight—he always had his faith on Jungkook no matter what, since he knew the latter's father as well. But when it comes to Taehyung's life and relationships, Namjoon doesn't trust any men. Because once he trusted his best friend with his brother and it only ended up breaking Taehyung's heart and leaving his soul shattered in disbelief and betrayal. He didn't want his brother to suffer the same ramifications if Jungkook leaves him as well, but Namjoon also didn't want to be a nuisance when it comes to what Taehyung chooses and will choose. That is why he has given the permission for the knight to spend time with his brother.
