Alessandro's eyes narrowed as he gazed at the man trembling before him. His fists clenched, and his jaw tightened with a mix of anger and satisfaction. This was what happened when you crossed the De Luca family.

The man was bound to a chair, his wrists and ankles secured with thick rope. Alessandro's men stood guard, their faces expressionless. The room was dimly lit, the only sound the man's ragged breathing.

Alessandro walked over to the table, where an array of bladed tools lay neatly arranged. He selected a razor-sharp knife, its edge glinting in the faint light.

"Please, Mr. De Luca, have mercy!" the man begged, his voice cracking.

Alessandro sneered, his mind flashing back to the betrayal. "You showed no mercy when you tried to sabotage my business dealings. You showed no mercy when you threatened my family."

Alessandro's phone rang, breaking the tense silence. He answered, his voice firm.

“Cristian.”

"Bro, I've got some news," Cristian's voice was tight with tension.

Alessandro's grip on the knife tightened. "What is it?"

"Heaven... she's been shot."

Alessandro's expression froze, his mind racing with confusion. "What? What are you talking about?"

"There was an ambush at Edward's gym. We're on our way to Edward's hospital now. She's stable, but... it's bad, bro."

Alessandro's eyes widened, his vision blurring for a moment. He felt like he'd been punched in the gut. “I... I'll be right there.”

“Cristian, I'll be right there. Keep me updated.”

Alessandro hung up the phone, his thoughts reeling. Heaven, shot? It couldn't be. He felt like he was in a nightmare, and he couldn't wake up.

Alessandro's shock and confusion rapidly transformed into rage. He turned back to the man bound to the chair, his eyes blazing with fury. Without hesitation, he raised his gun and fired a single shot, striking the man in the head. The sound of the gunshot echoed through the room, and the man slumped forward, lifeless.

“Get rid of the body,” Alessandro growled, his voice low and menacing.

His men nodded, swiftly moving to dispose of the body. Alessandro's anger and frustration were almost suffocating, and they knew to stay out of his way.

With a deep breath, Alessandro tried to compose himself, his mind racing with thoughts of Heaven and the ambush. He needed to get to the hospital, to see her, to make sure she was okay.

“Get the car ready,” he ordered his driver.

“We're going to the hospital. Now.”

The Leo nodded, knowing that Alessandro's priority was to reach Heaven's side. As they hastened to the hospital, Alessandro's thoughts were consumed by worry and a burning desire for answers.
