It was a breezy Saturday morning in Massachusetts when Kat had awoken. She stirred in bed for a little while hoping she can fall back asleep, eventually she reached for her phone and saw a text from her best friend Jack.
Good morning! It's the day we have been waiting for!!
Today was the Ghost concert, a band Kat had been listening to for years. She had gotten the tickets during presale for her and her best friend Jack. Jack and Kat met in the local hot topic when Kat had gone in for the latest Ghost merchandise.
I cannot wait! I have my outfit all planned out and ready to go! Pick you up at 5!
Kat rolled herself off the bed and headed to the kitchen to make some coffee.
" Morning mom" Kats mother was standing at the. Kitchen sink doing the dishes from last night.
"Hi Kat! Are you excited for your concert tonight?" Kat's mom stopped doing dishes and turned to her daughter.
"Of course ! Jack and I have been waiting forever to see them live." Kat grabbed a cup out of the cabinet and begin to pour coffee from the coffee pot .
" I am working late tonight so don't be surprised if I am not home when you get here." Kat's mom was a nurse in the local emergency room.
" Okay, mom. I will text you when I get there tonight..I love you mom." She kissed her mom on the cheek and headed upstairs to get ready for the concert.
Kat had picked out her outfit the night before so it was ready to go. She opted to be comfy wearing biker shorts , an oversized Ghost shirt, and her air forces. Since it was warm out she knew heavy makeup would not be her friend. She opted for light makeup.
I am so excited I can barely contain it! Can 5 pm come any faster
She picked up her phone and smiled. Jack and her have been inseparable and she was so excited to be able to share this moment with him!
The next few hours went by quick as she continued to get ready while listening to Ghost. She grabbed her keys and headed out the door to Jacks.
" Hey! Are you ready for the greatest concert ever?! " Jack yelled as he approached her car. Jack was 6 foot 3 with brown slicked back hair and piercing blue eyes. " I have been waiting for this for months!"
" Just a little.. Kidding I am so pumped it is unreal." Kat put the car in reverse and headed to the venue which was a good half hour away. She turned the radio up as Square Hammer blasted through the speakers.
This was gonna be a hell of a night.
