Wide valleys and flower fields as far as the eye could see; birds were chirping, a small river was flowing, the sun was beginning to set. It was like the perfect ending to a perfect day.
Sakura gasped softly at the sight in front of her, her green eyes lightening up as her grip on Sasuke's hand tightened momentarily. She began to run through the beautiful valley, dragging her partner along with him.
The pinkette had a huge smile on her face, the grass tickling her legs as she let out excited giggles and squeals. Gentle sunshine was tickling her flushed cheeks, caressing her lovingly.
The Uchiha, however, couldn't care less about the flowers around them. His dark eyes were focused on one flower only, and that was the one in front of him. With each sound she made, with each glimpse of her smile, his heart fluttered with love and adoration.
And while his face remained impassive, his eyes harboured a certain warmth. Sasuke's fingers tightened around Sakura's for a moment as he let himself be pulled along, not caring about the carefree affection anymore.
The more time he spent with her, the more his stiffness and stoic tendencies melted away. While he thought that his journey of atonement had shaped him, Sakura's love was creating a whole new version of him. She was replacing his old self subconsciously, her warmth and love soothing his cold heart.

While Sakura sat at the shore of the nearby stream, Sasuke was preparing their camp under a tree. The pinkette hummed to herself, curiously watching a butterfly fly around a flower.
She let her feet cool off in the water, the mild temperature soothing her throbbing toes after a long day of walking. Sakura's delicate fingers ran through the grass, keeping her grounded in this almost surreal setting and beautiful moment.
After a few moments, Sasuke joined her, replacing the blades of grass in between her fingers with his own, his grip gentle. He didn't look at her, simply sat beside her and nodded towards her lap silently.
Sakura blushed softly at the unexpected affection, but quickly hid her surprise behind a soft smile. She looked down at her lap upon his nod, curious about what he was referring to. When the pinkette saw two of her food pills placed on a tissue, she squeezed Sasuke's hand gratefully, her smile widening.
"You're hungry," the Uchiha spoke quietly, his voice dark and mysterious as always, "eat." Sakura blushed softly, shaking her head rapidly as she chuckled a bit, trying to seem more controlled and less of a burden. "I-I'm... just a bit..." she stuttered, trailing off, before sighing softly, giving in to his observation.
The Haruno had been feeling rather hungry during the last few hours, but she decided not to slow them down and simply force herself to keep going forward. But now that Sasuke had sensed her wish, she felt at ease.
"Thank you, Sasuke-kun." she murmured softly, still staring at the food pills in her lap. The Uchiha replied with a quiet grunt, his eyes fixated on Sakura's side profile.
Suddenly, after he had spaced out for a moment, one of the food pills was in front of his face. Sasuke's dark eyes widened for a moment, staring at the fingers holding the brown ball before meeting Sakura's loving gaze.
Because it looked like Sasuke had no idea what was happening, the Haruno made a small 'a' sound, giggling afterwards. The sound being like a balm for his soul, the ravenhead couldn't help but obediently open his mouth.
A small blush grazed their cheeks as Sakura fed him a small piece of the food pill, her eyes admiring his face as she did so. Sasuke was glad that he was chewing right now, because his lips kept quirking upwards without his consent.
