"Taehyung, honey," his grandmother called out softly, concern etched on her face.
"If you keep skimping on sleep, it'll take a toll on your health. how about we see a doctor?"
Taehyung, meticulously tying his shoelaces, paused, his eyes brimming up ,she remembered him today, so he offered a reassuring smile.
"I'm alright, Grandma. You just worry too much. okay, bye! Call me if you need anything, alright?" He leaned down and kissed her cheek, the affection evident in his gesture. though he knows she wouldn't remember to call him ,but saying that made him feel good. as he reached the door, he hesitated.
"Nancy will be here soon, alright? maybe you two can go for a walk. and no fibbing," he teased, a playful glint in his eyes.
"I'll ask Nancy, you know she can't keep a secret." he teased, His grandmother chuckled, a familiar twinkle in her eyes despite the shadows of Alzheimer's.
"Alright, alright, shoo! go make your flowers bloom," she shooed him away with a smile.
Taehyung closed the door behind him with a bittersweet smile, she did not forget about his flower shop. The penthouse apartment was indeed beautiful, a testament to his father's hard work and savings. after their tragic passing, Taehyung, left with no other choice, had moved to Seoul back again when he had moved to Daegu for his study, his father's former stomping ground. his grandmother's health had begun to decline, and Seoul offered the best treatment options, a necessity that fueled his determination.
He'd worked tirelessly to build his life here. The flower shop, nestled in the heart of Seoul's prestigious district, was a thriving success. This flourishing business allowed him to afford excellent care for his grandmother, like Nancy, who expertly managed her Alzheimer's. Some days, his grandmother would recognize him, greeting him with warmth. Others, she would be a stranger, pushing him away in confusion. Yet, with Nancy's help, Taehyung found solace in knowing his grandmother was well cared for, allowing him to focus on his passion for flowers.
A February chill nipped at Taehyung as he unlocked his shop door. The familiar jingle of the bell, a sound that always sparked a flicker of joy within him, greeted him as he entered. He quickly ushered in the stand from inside and place it back to outside and headed back in, ready for another busy day.
No sooner had he settled in when Yeonjun and Wooyoung burst through the door, their usual pre-work banter forgotten. it was almost a sun dawn when yeonjun paced back and forth but some how muster up his courage as he announced his problem.
"Hyung," Yeonjun began apologetically.
"I gotta head out early today. Soobin's picking me up any minute." Taehyung, unable to resist his employee's pleading eyes, offered a smile and a playful shove.
"alright, alright. Get lost!"
Yeonjun practically leaped with excitement, throwing his arms around Taehyung in a quick hug before dashing off to grab his bag. Taehyung turned towards the door as it chimed again, revealing two handsome boys, soobin and Choi San . He rolled his eyes good-naturedly, a familiar routine. Folding his arms across his chest, he shot Wooyoung a teasing glance as the younger boy fidgeted nervously.
"You itching to leave too, Wooyoung? Boyfriend waiting outside, I presume?" Taehyung inquired, a hint of amusement in his voice. Wooyoung simply nodded, his lips pursed in a mock pout that earned a scoff from his playful boss.
"I will not be hiring any committed staff anymore.," Taehyung declared dramatically, though a secret smile played on his lips as he strolled towards the counter, shaking his head.
