Chapter 16: She Knows

"Hey Veneer- WHAT THE FUCK!?!" Velvet exclaimed as she opened the door and walked in, her phone falling from her hand.

"Jeez ever heard of knocking?!" I was on my feet in seconds. I walked over to her and she just stared at me.

"THAT'S your choice of words?!" She exclaimed. "Not an explanation?!"

"Okay look I can explain okay? Just, one sec." I ushered her out and shut the door, turning to an awkward looking Ritz. I sighed. "I'm sorry about that..."

"It's okay, you should probably go tell her..." Ritz said.

"Yeah..." I muttered. "I'll be right back okay?"

"Okay." He smiled at me.

I stepped out of my room and into the hallway, where Velvet was standing, her hip out and her arms crossed over her chest, with an eyebrow raised and a pissed expression on.

I sighed again.

"How long?" Velvet asked dryly.

"About two months..." I murmured.

"TWO MONTHS!?!" Velvet exclaimed.

"Yeah..." I said.

"Wait-" she seemed to think for a second. "Is that why Ritz was over here a couple of weeks ago? And it was just me and Orchid at her house all night... HOLY FUCKING SHIT VENEER WHAT DID YOU TWO DO!?!"

I gulped. "Um-"

"Oh my God." Velvet said. "Y'ALL DANCED!?!"

I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out. So I closed it and looked off to the side, folding my arms across my chest.

Velvet laughed in this weird way that kinda creeped me out. "So when were you gonna tell me huh? Who else knows? Does Orchid?"

"I don't know when I would've told you! And nobody knows. At least I haven't told anyone." I said.

"I can't believe this Veneer. I told you I was with Orchid the second we got together! And you've been dating Ritz for two months and I only find out now!? And on accident! You didn't even tell me yourself!" Velvet exclaimed.

"I'm sorry okay!" I said, my eyes started to tear up. "I didn't feel ready to I just... Wanted to enjoy some time where it was just us. I'm not exactly like you! I don't like telling people about stuff like this the second it happens! Don't you remember how long it took me to tell you about Rick?"

Velvet looked down at the floor, thinking. Before finally looking back up at me with an apologetic look. She sighed before speaking again. "I guess you're right..." She muttered. "Sorry I yelled."

I pulled her into a hug and she hugged back, we stood there for a while before pulling apart.

"Well, um, I'll be in my room." She said. "But remember, thin walls. I'm taking a nap so I better not wake up to any unholy noises."

I rolled my eyes. "Shut up."

"See yah bro." Vels laughed as she shut her door.

I walked back into my room, and sat down next to Ritzy, wrapping my arms around his waist and resting my head on his chest.

"What did she say?" He asked.

I looked up at him lovingly. "She understands. I think I'm all good." He smiles before I add: "She also said she's taking a nap and doesn't wanna hear any 'unholy noises'." His face turned a dark purple as I kissed his cheek. "Aw is someone embawassed?"

He just looks away, a small smile on his dark purple face.

"You're so cute." I laughed as I snuggled up more.
