(America's pov)

I was wrong. I WAS SO VERY WRONG! Okay, you're probably confused so let me explain. I left my room for the gala is where I left off at right? If so, we'll start there then.

Flashback

I had just left my room for the gala in my nice outfit, it wasn't anything special but I did like it. I always had my bow clamped into my hair even when I slept, it was from my mother before her death so of course I kept it. Couldn't and wouldn't get rid of it if I tried as I quite literally can't take it out because magic. Enough of that though.

I walked down the halls to the foyer before taking a turn down to the gala hallway. I was here before with the Russian Empire but I'd rather not bring that up, I'm still pissed he blamed our son for his fall when he was the one neglecting his people.

Asshole.

Anyways, I had silently pushed the doors open and all eyes landed on me before everyone looked away and went back to their own conversations. I silently walked over to the table where Mattie, Francis, Arthur, and Jett sat at. Mostly because Mattie had seen me and waved me over but that's not important.

One or the butlers with the trays of wine glasses walked by and I grabbed one on my way over to the table. Mostly because I was trying my hardest to avoid all of the looks from the other nations and the dead ones who had numerous questions for me that I would not answer, at all.

I quietly sat down next to Mattie and sipped on the wine, I know I don't get drunk easily but wine is not very good tasting, to me at least, so small sips it is! Anyways, I may or may not have just quietly sat there and watched the others for most of the gala. Near the end I was in the garden again as it was peaceful and quiet unlike the actual gala.

I leaned on the balcony ledge with the wine glass and took a sip, feeling disgusted at the taste. I sighed as I watched the garden below from the balcony. I watched in silence, not really doing anything aside from feeling the cold wind in my hair and as it brushed past my face.

I heard footsteps approach but said nothing, I looked over at the person who decided to join me and realized it was Mathias.

"Well, hello." I said to him with a small smile, he smiled in return.

"Hello, Amelia." He said with the same smile, I just went back to the wine and the view.

"The moon looks lovely tonight, right?" I asked him, wondering silently if he picked it up which he probably didn't. It is a Japan thing.

"I agree with you." He responded with as he leaned against the railing next to me.

I just hummed and went back to my wine before standing up right.

"Well, can't miss all of the gala." I said before waving bye to him and walking off. I watched Japan go past me and paused.

Shit.

Will Kiku tell Mathias? Eh, probably not.

I continued on my walk back into the main gala, I watched from the stairs up top overseeing everything. I watched a few dead nations pause upon spotting me before they all just floated up to me.

I raised in eyebrow in silence at them all. I'd rather not make it look like I'm crazy, thank you.

"We wanted to ask if we could show ourselves." Austria-Hungary said, I stared at her before pulling my phone out and making it look like I called someone by putting it to my ear.
