Personality:
Before his father's murder: Content, both inwardly and outwardly focused and calm, warm and affectionate to most dragons.
After his father's murder: Though he's still an outwardly focused and calm dragon, he's now more distant and sometimes even cold to those he doesn't know well. Now constantly anxious on the inside, he feels as though he'll never be content without finding and having revenge on Archduke's murderers.
Likes: Soothing warm mudwater baths, playing games with his brother and mother, researching and reading, sunsets and the clear light of the moons, butterflies and their process of metamorphosis.
Dislikes: Obsidian Project, SandWings, cold and snow, bright lights, dragonets, studying, worrying though he does it constantly, missing/wondering where his brother is when he disappears sometimes.
Abilities: Able to sense danger and the weather through his antennae, able to produce soft, smooth silk, skilled healer and fighter.
Family:
-Mother: Softshell the MudWing.
-Father: Archduke the SilkWing. (Deceased.)
-Brother/Best friend: Puce the MudWing-SilkWing. (Younger than him.)
-Aunt: Brooklime the MudWing.
Backstory: Puddling was hatched in the swamps of Pyrrha with his mother, a MudWing named Softshell, and his father, a SilkWing named Archduke.
How his parents met:
Softshell had been one of the dragons leading a small negotiation party over to Pantala in order to make alliances with the LeafSilk and HiveWing queens. While she was waiting for an audience with the LeafSilk queen, she had spotted a gentle-looking, ice-blue SilkWing servant with black puddle-like splashes on his wings. She had never seen a dragon like him before, and was taken aback by his four handsome wings and his content, peaceful smile as he was sweeping the floors. Suddenly, as neither of them had watched what was happening, he suddenly bumped into her, and as he hurriedly apologized, they suddenly locked eyes and just stared into each other for a moment or so. After that first meeting and her meeting with the queen, Softshell asked Archduke to fly back with her to Pyrrha, to which he readily agreed and even brought his family with him.
Early LIfe:
Puddling grew up surrounded by his parents: His mother's warm wings and his father's gentle smile. When he was about three years old, his world was then made that much warmer with delight when his younger brother Puce hatched, and they have been extremely close as both brothers and friends all through their childhoods and mostly into their adulthoods.
Then one day, as Puddling and Puce went foraging with their father, they ran into a group of SandWings that were wearing pitch-black robes with golden, eye-like clasps. He could tell that these dragons were trouble, as his father's wings were tense and rigid, showing the black patches as warning signs to the SandWings. "We have come for your payment..." snarled one of them, one with large black streaks of paint over his eyes like scars. Archduke, usually a calm and gentle dragon, let out a rare snarl in response.''You'll never have them..." His father responded. The SandWing With Black Scars then let out a high-pitched wheel of laughter. Then, smiling eerily, he blew on a silver, and yet seeming silent whistle...and Puddling and his brother screamed in horror as what seemed like a black void came out of nowhere and tore out their father's throat before he could even blink. The SandWing With The Black Scars laughed high again as the brothers stared in complete and utter shock and despair, Puce starting to cry. Puddling was just in complete shock: not noticing when the SandWings were starting to reach out their dark talons towards them, or when his mother, hearing their cries, tore out of the swamp with a huge roar of fury and fought off the group, then carried the to dragonets back home to their mud house.
Later in Life:
Puddling was never the same carefree, content dragon that he used to be after that: ever since his father was murdered, he became distant and even cold sometimes, always worrying about his brother and mother and constantly anxious for them, wondering if those dragons would come back to finish what they started. And though he was always an outwardly calm and focused dragon, he became obsessed over finding out who those SandWings were, and so is starting to look around for his long-lost aunt..who just might be the answer to all his problems.
