I Promise (A Yeinkook Fanfic) [On Hiatus]

It's already Monday and it's the second week for the preparation of the half-year special. Yein is about to enter class since she was almost late but then she bumps into someone in front of her class door. He looks like he was about to close it until Yein rushly runs towards him without looking who/what she is running to. They look at each other for a couple of second before Yein looks at the ground hiding her red cheeks

"Uh.. Sorry.." She said with a low voice before walking to her friends

"That was awkward huh? With Jungkook.." Mijoo teased her resembling the accident at the door

"Huh? Oh.." Yein said and look down embarrassed

"Ohhh.. Our maknae is embarassed.." Ji ae teased and rubs her back. Good thing the bell rings which saves Yein from more teasing. They quickly seat on their seat and Mr. Oh comes inside

"Morning kids.. Today is the second week of preparing.. I will give you free time to practice more.." He said before sitting on the chair. They start to gather with their team and there was Yein and Jungkook who is sitting in front of each other embarassed as they recall the accident yesterday

"Uhm.. I'm sorry about yesterday.. I trip-" Yein finally breaks the silence before he cut her off

"Please don't talk about it.." Jungkook said without even looking at her. Yein just sigh and thought it's no use talking to him anyway. They spent their time in silence wether playing their own phones or just looking outside the window. The recess bell then rings and they head out to eat lunch. Yein is more silent than usual. She tries her best to forgot about the accident yesterday and this morning and to act normal but failed. The unnies notice her and they start to get worried

"Yah what's wrong maknae?" Baby Soul ask in concern

"A-ani.. It's just i.. I'm not confident in my perofmance.." Yein said, lying. But this time the other girls seems to trust what she said

"Ohh.. You're gonna do great maknae!" Soojeong cheers and she looks at her faking a smile. When they are done eating, they go to their class and chat a bit until the bell rings again. Mr. Oh then enters the class and he tells them they can borrow his speaker and they have some break from the practice. The kids cheer and they start to move the chairs and desks aside and give a large space in the middle. They put the speaker in one of the desk and Rap Monster plugs in his phone. He plays a dance music and suddenly J-Hope and Jimin walks to the center popping some cool moves. The kids cheers and finally Yein smiles again. J-Hope then pulls Mijoo to join and she dances to the rythem. Jungkook takes a glance at Yein and she is looking at him also as she smiles widely. She quickly looks back at the other dancing and clears her throat. The class then turns into a party as they are dancing and laughing all along. The sentence "Time flies when you're having fun" really resembles what's happening now. They party it off until the dismissal bell rings. They put the chairs and desks back with a smile still plastered on their faces. They put on their bags and thanks Mr. Oh for the break today. Yein is walking with Mijoo to the entrance together until her phone suddenly rings. She takes a look at it and realise it's an unknown number. She hesitates at first and finally decides to pick it up

"Yoboseyo?" She said

"Follow me" the other line said and she quickly recognize the owner of the voice. It's Jeon Jungkook. She then remembered she hasn't put any caller ID name for his number. She looks around still putting her phone on her ear and finds him in the gate

"Why should i?" She said back

"Aish it's for the project!" He said annoyed and hangs up. The elder female beside her looks at her curious

"Uhm.. You go ahead.. I gotta do something.." Yein said and leaves the elder female alone. Good thing it's crowded so Mijoo couldn't see clearly where and who is Yein going with. Yein and Jungkook walks fast to the unknown destination so that no one sees them together. Yein doesn't even mind to ask him their destination since she knew she will not get the answer anyway. They finally arrive at a building and Jungkook takes a key in his pocket and opens it. They walk in and there's a huge room with mirror wall on the 3 sides. Jungkook turns on the light and puts his bag next to a big speaker at the end of the room. Yein is walking slowly admiring the room. After a few minutes Yein snaps back to reality and puts her bag in the other side of the speaker

"Who's studio is this?" Yein asks the boy who is playing with his phone standing next to the speaker

"mine" he said casually and Yein got shock. She just nods and suddenly the boy opens his mouth

"Let's practice the choreo.." He said as he shows the choreograph video of the song. They watch closely and eveytime there's a skinship part they got awkward and one of them always clears their throat or looks away. After a couple of time watching it they decided to start learning. Jungkook takes a chair from the side of the room and Yein sits on it. He plays the music and they start learning step by step. Yein once again was stunned. The boy not only have an angelic voice but also can dance perfectly. The first skinship which Yein is supposed to touch his chin and make him looks at her make their hearts beats faster as they look at each others eyes. They try so hard to just get it out of their mind but it keeps bothering them. She decides to just skip the skinship and not practicing it for the main time. It's already 4 PM and they manage to learn the dance half of the part perfectly. Yein takes her water bottle and drinks it until the very last drop

"Oh yeah by the way aren't you suppose to go to the day care today?" She asks as she takes her bag and puts it on her shoulder

"No i'm not.. There's this new volunteer so we're gonna take turns at the day care.." He explains as he close the tab on his bottle. She just nods and after a while she bids farewell to the boy. She waits him to lock the door before they go separate ways to their houses. As she was walking to her house suddenly she remembers their skinships before and slaps herself

"Forget about it Yein" she said to herself in a low voice and continues walking.
