YALL I GOT A 6 ON MY ENGLISH MIDTERM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here is my novella that my teacher so dearly loved!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

"i found something!" I wipe the wall with my brush, to get the small dust fragments off the once vibrant, now dull paint? Berries? It has been weeks since we had found something worth documenting down. I hear the rushed footsteps of my friend, but also colleague. Me and Kelly were assigned to research a cave up in the mountains. There had seemed to have been remains of life here, but not recent. Maybe from the stone age or earlier? "What? Where?" Kelly is panting next to me, her pupils big form hope. I tilt my head towards the cave drawings and watch as Kelly's bubble bursts. "Finally! This cave was starting to feel claustrophobic" I hold back my smile, happy to see my best friend happy. "Can you go get the camera and the rest of the stuff?" looking back to the wall I take it all in. Theirs what semes to be a horse or a reindeer being spired, many stick figures holding spires, as well as what looks like a bird or a tree? The cave is quiet again, as Kelly's footsteps seam to get farther and farther away. I look around, only seeing darkness apart from the few laps we have placed around.

When Kelly comes back, me and her start doing what we came here to do, write down history. Kelly starts writing down the time and where we found it, also adding other important details to the document. Taking a picture of artifacts is hard, I don't know if the light will disturb the cave drawings, but its to dark in here to not use any light. Maybe the cave people used a campfire to light up the cave? Maybe they could see in the dark better than this generation? All these questions run trough my head when I find something new, this is why I love my job. The adrenaline I get is something I live on, its like water. "Penny, why is that one still dripping?" I turn to Kelly, seeing her ghost pale skin and her dilated pupils. I turn to where shes pointing, not thinking much of it.

Looking further down the cave to where Kelly is pointing, I see it, vibrant red dripping slowly down the wall. Its not like the others, this cave drawing looks new, and still wet. Taking a few steps forward, shining my torch on the wall. The red is new, how new? I don't know, and I don't think I want to ether. Kelly is by my side, both our hearts beating fast. We should go out the cave and call someone because I don't think the new drawings are made with berries or even paint, but I can't. The adrenaline is making me feel more alive, making me more aware that I'm a mile in a cave with only one exit that we know of. my side feels empty, turning my head, I don't see Kelly. I turn fully thinking she went back up with out me hearing her footsteps, but as I turn, I see her still there. Though shes not pale anymore, the color is back, but not only that. Kelly is just staring at me, her yellow turtleneck getting more and more drenched in red. The smile she has on is not a warm one, rather a cold, creepy smile.

I don't know if the adrenalin is still there or not, but what I know is that I should run, run out of this cave, into the range rover, and drive out of our small camp, and back to main base. But it feels like my legs are glued, like my body wants to die. My brain is screaming to move, move out of this cave, move away form Kelly. All goes quiet, my mind is blank. All I can hear and see is Kelly's limp body hit the rocky ground, thats's my que. my body starts up again and runs, runs as fast as it can. I'm scrambling to get out of the cave, almost falling over multiple lose stones. My head feels light, but I keep going towards the car. As I near the car I open the door, jump in and go. I press the gas pedal and change the gear. The car moves to slow for me, my breathing is heavy, my head is spinning, I feel like I'm going to faint. I can't get the image of Kelly, limp on the floor out of my mind. And all I can do now is drive, drive until I reach main base.

But what will they do? Will they even believe me? We are all stuck in the forest, days away from any cities or towns. I need to tell them in main base, or else they might- what if I do tell them, and they think it was me? What if I just start living in the forest? Make them think both of us are dead? Then they won't think I did it. I start slowing the car down to a stop. Yea, I should do that. And only survive on the adrenaline that it gives me.
