Sunny day in Surabaya is a perfect time for you to try many traditional culinaries. They're all look so delicious, but one of my favorite is Gado Gado.
Gado gado is a javanese salad of raw and cooked vegetables like lettuce, cabbage, bean sprouts, potatoe, and tomato mixed with slice of fried tempeh, fried tofu, and boiled egg, and then poured with very delicious peanut sauce and crispy chips.
There are lots of place in Surabaya that sell gado gado, but my favorit one is Gado Gado Goyang Rasa which located beside Al Falah mosque Jl. Taman Mayangkara, nearby Surabaya Zoo (You can google it). In my opinion this place sells the most delicious gado gado of all, i have tried gado gado in 'Goyang Rasa' since i was in elementary school, and amazingly the taste is never change, still good as i remember when i was a kid. I really recommend this place if you like gado gado.
Believe me I know lots of famous place in Surabaya which sell gado gado, I'm a big fans of this cuisine, I have tried them all, but in the end the 1st winner is still Gado Gado Goyang Rasa. So whenever you come to Surabaya, don't forget to stop by at this place and try have a breakfast or lunch (because it closes at 3 PM), I'm pretty sure you will not regret it.
