Luna, a voice from the distance called. Its probably just another bad dream I thought to myself. I knew this was a lie, none of these dreams were just another dream they all had a meaning completely different from the last one. The dreams never felt like dreams, they feel more like visions, or warnings. I followed the direction the voice was coming from. There was fog so thick I couldn't see the path ahead of me, in truth I could barley see my hand in front of me. I'm not scared I said to myself. As I ascended down the path I heard twigs snap and leaves crunch, almost like someone was following me. Luna the voice called again. The setting changed to a house, I walked in. A little girl stood at the front door, she was my age. Her dark brown hair swirled as she smiled, she was wearing a fancy outfit She's like you Luna the voice said. "How." I whispered. Her name is Estara. I woke up and looked around, nope still on the streets. It was dark, stars surrounded me. I could always see in the dark, maybe my parents were special I wouldn't know. It was cold really cold, I have to find somewhere to sleep for night or I will get frostbite. I stood up and ran to a nearby shop, "locked" I whispered to myself. I tugged on my hair and pulled out my bobby pin. I bent the pin in half and attempted to unlock the door, I heard a little click as the door opened. I walked in and grabbed a pillow from the shelves and set my head down on it. I than fell asleep.
Estara's p.o.v at the Ember Knights home
"We have a break in at the furniture store down the street." Caleb said. "Estara, we think your old enough to go on your first mission. But that's only if your dad allows it." Azalea told me. I looked at my father, "Please dad." I begged. He nodded, I smiled. "Let's go." Auntie Mentalya said.
A few minutes later at the furniture store
"I can sense magic." Luana informed us. "Let's go but Estara I want you in the middle so nothings bad happens." My father ordered. After we got in I looked around. "I hear breathing." I said quietly. "Follow." Auntie said. As we descended down the long hallway there was a girl sleeping there. "I can't sense anything anymore." Luana told us. "Its like my magic is not working." She took a deep sigh. "This girl, she looks like she hasn't eaten." Caleb said bending down next to the girl. "A run away?" Azalea asked. "No I think she's a kid on the streets." Caleb replied. "Let's get her back to the tower." Auntie said
Luna's p.o.v
I opened my eyes, I did not fall asleep in this place, I thought to myself. "Hello." I heard. "Who's there." I shouted. "Don't be scared." A girl appeared in front of me. "I'm Luana." The girl said. "Where am I." I asked. "Your in the tower medical room. We know you haven't eaten in a few weeks." She told me. "What do you me we, who else is here." I looked around. "I'll show you after you tell me your name." She offered. I hesitated she was a complete stranger but then I took a breath, "Luna." I said blankly while avoiding eye contact. "I'll bring the rest of them inside, also I'll bring your food. Any allergies?" She asked. I shook my head and she left the room.
Luana's p.o.v
My magics working again, and I can sense magic within Luna, I thought to myself. "I think she has magic, but she dosen't seem to know it." I told Mentalya. "I can scan her, see what her magic limits are, and what she is." Mentalya replied. "Estara made some food for her." Azalea showed up behind Mentalya. "Where's Caleb, Estara, and Comet, I think it would be well if she met them all." I smiled. "Caleb and Comet are looking for new missions to go on, I'll go and get Estara." Azalea replied.
