Take A Chance With Me

It all started last 2023...

  Tired of the loads of schoolworks, grace and her friends decided to join the tableau it was a performance to be performed by students from their school for the fiesta/fiestival of their town. At first the group of friends hesitated to join because they didn't know yet if there were available roles for them to play, good thing they had this one classmate who had already joined the performers and invited them to join so that they will be exempted for the upcoming exam.

  The head of school decided to exempt whoever students who joins the tableau performers and the himag ulaw dancers in order to motivate the students to join and as a gift for the hardwork from practice by the said performers.

  Hearing the good news, grace and her friends immediately went to the office of the performers' trainor who happened to be a teacher as well. They introduced theirselves and asked for permission to join the tableau performers which they were accepted. The five girls left the office with smile and a sigh of relief, they then went back to their classes eagerly waiting for the afternoon to come as they were told they can join the tableau performers' practice later.

  Classes soon ended, and lunch came and passed by. After they were done eating the group of friends stayed together as they waited for their classmate whom was also a part of the performance. Few minutes later, some group of boys came and sat next to grace and her friends, the waiting shed where they were was a bit small so they had no choice but to sit next to each other. Silence then occupied the situation as both group of friends were hesitating to talk as they were shy by the presence of the other group.

Just then a boy noticed the props which were held by some of grace's friends. They were told earlier to bring some props in order for them to secure back up roles just incase.

  "Are you guys part of the tableau performers too?" The guy asked

  Ana, one of grace's friends hestitatedly replied "oh...uhm, yes"

  "That's one of the props right? Can i borrow it?" The same guy asked, but his friends tried to stop him as they might seem rude

  However, due to their kindness grace and her friends didnt hesitate to let the stranger borrow the said props.

  the guy then played with it while trying to make conversation with the girls after all they'll be performing together so they should be comfortable with each other at least.

  Grace being her usual introvert self just fondly watched her friends slowly being comfortable with the other group. Unfortunately it was time to go now "Jai, give that back to them we should go now" One of guy's said referring to the props borrowed by one of his friends.

  Grace then noticed that the guy who just spoke just now seem to be quite alike as her, the guy also just watched his friends while interacting with the Grace's group.

  The Jai guy then handed the props back to the girls as the boys bid goodbye and left..

   While heading to their destination, the boys seemed to notice that one of their friend had took quite a liking with one of the girl they interacted with earlier..

   "We should've waited for them! After all we're going to the same place" Jai complained

   Renz, one the guys rolled his eyes and replied "Oh shut up, you flirty ass!"

   Jai playfully punched mhon's shoulder "I just wanted to make friends..Oh shoot! We haven't even gotten their names nor even introduced ourselves!"

   "You just wanted to flirt with them, shut up" the introvert looking guy said

   "You shut up, did you really think i didn't notice you constantly glancing at that one girl earlier" Jai teased.

  Just like that their walk towards practice was full of jai's rants and teasing, the guys just ignored him though as they were quite used to it..

  Meanwhile with the girls, few minutes after the guys left their classmate finally arrived so they soon left as well..

  Minutes later they finally arrived at their destination. The five were greeted by quite a lot of students each preparing and eagerly waiting for the practice to start as well.

grace and her friends then went to take a seat first and observed the situation as they heard there were performers who havent arrived yet.

  Feeling a bit bored and out of place grace then grabbed her phone, hoping that the said device could entertain her.

Few minutes later she noticed that the students were now leaving their seats to gather at the middle of the area. Grace's shoulder was lightly tapped by her friend abby signalling her to get up so they can join the rest.

  The group of friends then joined the rest of the performers as their trainor  picked their roles to play.

  "Okay.. So we had already picked the roles yesterday, however due to some reasons some of the performers had left, please raise your hand if you are new so we can replace the empty roles" Their trainor announced

  grace and her friends raised their hands along with some of the students and then they were each given their roles. Grace and her friends' roles weren't that big as they only play some minor roles however they were grateful that they could perform as well.

   And with the roles filled, practice finally started. The trainor then divided the performers based on their roles and lined them in two. Unfortunately, grace was separated from her friends but lucky for her she was met by a familiar face.....
