CHAPTER 1
"Jake... Jake!" Yells Matthew as he runs up the stairs with his flowy brown hair, moving back and forth. He barges in his twin's room and pulls the duvet from him.
"Yo Jake. I'm meeting my girlfriend in a few minutes. Do you wanna come with? Oh.. I forgot. You don't have a girl." He burst out laughing and gets out of the room.
"Funny" Jake shouts, unenthusiastically. He sits up, barely holding himself steady.
"The joke just gets better every morning. Every.. Single.. Morning".
He then drops his head back on his pillow. He tries to get back to sleep, but the sun is shining straight into his face.
"Ok, I'm awake". He then stands up and walks towards the window. He opens the half opened curtains wider. A woman in a uniform enters his room. She's wearing an apron and carrying some towels.
"Good morning Mr Lawrence", she says with her head down.
"Again Margaret, it's Jake. That's my dad you're talking about."
"Sorry sir". She places the towels on a sofa chair and walks to his bed.
"Breakfast is ready downstairs Mr Law.."
He turns around to face her and lifts up his eyebrows.
"Erm.. I mean Jake."
"You got it!" Says Jake. He walks to the bathroom. She gives him a sheepish smile then starts cleaning his room.
After a shower, tracksuits and a hood, Jake grabs his IPod and bag and he makes his way downstairs."Oh Kathy baby. You know I care about you." Matthew lusts on the phone.
"Ofcourse I'm meeting you now. In fact I'm on the bus right now. Can you not hear the bus?" He puts one spoonful of Cheerios in his mouth and chews on the phone.
"Yo Matthew!" Jake calls out. "Where's mum and dad?!"
Matthew nearly chokes on his Cheerios as he notices that his covers been blown. He waves his hand towards Jake as he frowns at him.
"What.. Baby.. No. That's just my brother.. On the bus yeah..what? Yes I told you I had a brother.. I don't know where he's going..what?... No......I'll call you when I'm there... Bye... Bye... Bye!"
He quickly hangs up the phone while she was still talking.
"Jake! Are you trying to make me lose my girlfriend?"
Jake chuckles as he sits on the Oval shaped, glass table. The table is full of food. From boiled eggs and fried bacon, to warm pancakes and toasted waffles.
"Oh I see. Just because you don't have a girlfriend huh?"
"Please", Jake starts as he grabs a plate and places two pancakes on it.
"Keep your girlfriend."
"Plural" Matthew says as he gives his twin brother an offensive smirk.
"You can have one if you want. Especially this one. Ive already had my way with her."
"Wow" Jake responded with a mouth full of syrup.
"How many in total?"
"Nine, but I'm slowly decreasing the number. I'm keeping it at seven. More is too much hassle. I don't wanna get confused."
"Most normal people would say that two or three is too much hassle, but not my twin brother." Jake comments sarcastically.
"No dude seriously. I'm meeting two today. I'm leaving one and I didn't get into the others' pants yet so I'm still keeping her. If you ever want any just.."
"Matt. Thanks. I'm good. So where's the other five?"
Matthew's phone starts buzzing on the table. He picks it up, looks at it then gives his brother a quick look. He gets up from the table, grabs his bag and heads to the main door. He then flips his phone on.
"Good morning PG.."
Jake shakes his head. He looks round at the food on the table. He checks his watch.
'Ive still got some time' he thought. "It's only 10.'
He makes himself comfortable and starts digging...................................
CHAPTER 2
"U-G-L-Y, you ain't got no alibi, you're ugly, yeah yeah, you're ugly.." Chants Paige, along with her fellow cheerleaders. They all wave their Pom-Poms in the air at the same time. As Paige and the others break into a routine, her long golden hair swings from side to side.
All the cheerleaders form a pyramid. One by one they climb each other's shoulders. At the top of the pyramid, Paige stands all proud and feisty and cheers. The mascot, representing a Monkey, comes around the girls and starts dancing. As Jimmy, in the monkey suit, does a backflip his monkey head falls off and he tumbles unto the girls. The pyramid then crashes down. The girls fall down to the ground and land on top of each other.
"Ow! Ow! Ow!!" They all moan.
"I'm...I'm so sorry", says Jimmy.
He stands up and tries to help the girls. As he moves from side to side , his monkey tail swings about and hits the girls.
"Let me just.. Help.. You.. Oops! Sorry. My.. My tail.. Oh, sorry again...so sorry.."
The girls give him a dirty look as they fall back on the floor.
"Okay!" Says Paige.
"Jimmy just stop. Please just stand there and don't move." She grabs him by the shoulders and keeps him still.
"You..you know my name?", he says looking very surprised.
"Yes" she says. She let's go of him and helps the girls get up.
"Okay girls! Rehearsals over. Go to your lessons. See you girls later on. And we'll practice some more."
The girls pick up their Pom-Poms and they wave her goodbye. Others blow her a kiss. Paige picks up her Pom-Pom and water bottle and she heads off. Jimmy picks up his monkey head and he runs towards her. He slows down as he catches up with her.
"How..how do you know my name?" He asks.
"You are the guy that does our homeworks aren't you?"
"Well.. Yes." He replies.
"But I didn't think that you'd know my name. I mean... It is YOU and.."
"What do you mean by that!" She stops walking. Hands crossed and an angry expression on her face, she faces him.
"I..I'm sorry, he stutters. He looks down at the monkey head and starts fiddling with it. His freckled cheeks turn red.
"I-I-I meant, that.. Yo-you're so popular. I-I just- didn't think that you'd even look at me- twice. I-I'm sorry."
Her face calmed down. She uncrosses her arms.
"you need to stop apologising. That way people won't walk all over you. Look, I'm not like the others. I might be popular but that doesn't mean that I should be a snob. Don't judge a book by its cover."
She gives him an innocent smile and taps him on the back. She then carries on walking.
"See you later Jimmy."
He was lost for words. He could not believe that the most popular girl in the whole school talked to him, touched him and most of all, knows his name! His cheeks turned redder than before. As she hits a distance that he couldn't see with his glasses, he drops the head and jumps up and down in his monkey suit. His ginger curls bounced with him.
