I awoke to the soft hum of machinery and the faint murmur of voices outside my cell. My body ached, a lingering reminder of the recent ordeal. Slowly, i opened my eyes and took in my surroundings. The room was small but clean, with a comfortable bed and a single chair. It was a far cry from the cold, damp cell i had been confined to at the HYDRA facility.

The door to my cell was made of reinforced glass, allowing me to see out into the corridor. I could make out the figures of several Avengers moving about, their expressions serious but not hostile. They were watching me, but it didn't feel like they were my captors. Not like HYDRA.

I tried to sit up, my muscles protesting the movement. I was still exhausted, my body drained from the experiments and the recent escape. I leaned back against the wall, taking a deep breath to steady myself .

A few minutes later, the door to my cell slid open, and Bruce Banner stepped inside. He was holding a tablet, his expression gentle and reassuring.

"Hey," he said softly, pulling up the chair and sitting down across from me. "How are you feeling?"

I looked at him warily, still uncertain of my situation. "Tired," i admitted, my voice hoarse.

Bruce nodded, his eyes filled with empathy. "That's understandable. You've been through a lot. We're going to do everything we can to help you recover."

I studied his face, searching for any sign of deceit, but found none. There was something about him that put me at ease, a calmness that made me want to trust him.

"Where am I?" I asked.

"You're at the avengers tower „Bruce explained. "It's a secure location where we can keep an eye on you and make sure you're okay. We needed to run some tests to understand what HYDRA did to you, but I promise, we're not going to hurt you."

My mind raced with questions, but one stood out above the rest. "Why are you helping me?"

Bruce smiled gently. "Because it's the right thing to do. HYDRA hurt you, and we want to make sure you're safe. We also need to understand what kind of abilities you have so we can help you control them."

I nodded slowly, the tension in my shoulders easing slightly. "What kind of tests?"

"Just some basic ones for now," Bruce said, showing me the tablet. "We need to monitor your vitals and see how your body is reacting to the experiments. Once you're feeling better, we'll do some more in-depth assessments. But I promise, you'll be involved in every step of the process. No surprises."

I appreciated his transparency. "Okay."

Bruce's smile widened. "Good. Is there anything you need right now? Food, water, anything?"

"Water would be nice," I admitted.

Bruce nodded and got up, stepping out of the cell for a moment. He returned with a bottle of water, handing it to me. I took it gratefully, drinking fast.

"Thank you," i said, my voice a little stronger now.

"You're welcome," Bruce replied, sitting back down. "We're here to help you, Y/N. You're not alone anymore."

The weight of his words sank in, bringing a lump to my throat. For the first time in a long time, I felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, I could start to heal and learn to control her powers. maybe I could go home.

Bruce stood up, giving me a reassuring nod. "Get some rest. I'll check on you later. And if you need anything, just let us know."

I watched him leave, feeling a mix of relief and uncertainty. I lay back down, letting the exhaustion pull me into sleep
