"Thank you Dr. Pietro; you make one good doctor" Canada cheered as he grabbed back the patient's chart from the little boy beside him. "You really think so?" The boy asked as he smiled up at Canada, his smile moving his cannula up further.

"Of course Lucas, let's get you back to your room" Canada spoke as he clutched the chart to his chest with one arm, his free hand helping push Lucas' IV Pole. Canada usually takes Lucas around to 'help' on his morning rounds.

Lucas softly sang to himself as they passed multiple families, doctors, nurses and children. Canada smiled and waved at the multiple familiar faces before turning into Lucas' hospital room, and opening the door for the small boy.

"Ah! There's our little surgeon" a lady exclaimed as she rushed over to her son's side. Holding his face in her hands, her thumbs brushing against his cheeks.
"He did amazing on our morning rounds! Although, I do believe it's time for his break" Canada chirped as he watched Lucas' mother gush over her son.

"Need a hand up, bud?" Canada asked as he pulled the sheets back on the bed.
"No! I've got it!" Lucas cheered as he made a running start to an elegant jump upon the bed. The door opened once again as a food cart travelled through.
"See! Perfect timing!" Canada cheered as he helped adjust the table over the hospital bed.

"What's on the menu today?" Canada asked as the lady placed a plate down in front of Lucas.

"We have macaroni and cheese with veggies for lunch, and a little something for after" she smiled as she nodded towards everyone before leaving.

"Oh, I don't know bud" Canada spoke as he approached the food. "It looks too tasty, I think I should have it" Canada laughed as he jokingly reached a hand out, as if he was actually going to grab the tray.
"No! I want it!" Lucas exclaimed as he hurried to cover the food from Canada, who erupted in laughter.

"Ok, ok, I'll let you have this one then" Canada laughed as the boy wasted no time in shovelling the food into his mouth.

The door slid open as a nurse walked in to check the IV bags. "Hey buddy!" The nurse spoke and Canada smiled at the man. "Can you believe it, nurse Ukraine, he won't let me have his food" Canada chuckled and Ukraine tried to stifle a laugh.

"Stop picking on the poor guy, eat your own food" Ukraine laughed as he jotted down a few notes on his clipboard. He shuffled around the few he had in his arms and handed Canada one.

"Well then! I shall be back in a little while to check up on you, so far, everything is looking well" Canada spoke and smiled at Lucas' mother. A reassuring smile...

Lucas was one of Canada's first patients, he came in with stage 3 Thyroid Cancer. There was a night there in Canada's early days of being a resident, where he stayed by Lucas' side all night. Falling asleep in a chair beside the bed when his parents struggled to make it to the hospital. Luckily now, Lucas is in remission. Fingers crossed it's smooth sailing from here on out. Seeing Lucas back in the hospital after being discharged breaks his heart...

Canada opened the file that Ukraine gave him as he bid farewell to the room, walking out with Ukraine following.

"Are you able to take this patient? Their father just screamed at me" Ukraine groaned and Canada groaned.

"Why?" Canada asked as the pair walked down the hallway.
"Because I asked if the patient could be pregnant" Ukraine groaned. Canada arched an eyebrow in confusion, he read over the chart briefly and rolled his eyes. A 16 yr old girl with stomach pains.
