Beca's POV:
"Beca. Come on now. Let me come with you, not fucking Chloe." Jesse snapped. I bit my lip, hands shaking. "Jess. I really don't want you to get mad, but I'm taking Chlo. She knows my parents better. Plus, you're working late tonight, aren't you?"
"I'm like, totally irrelevant to that place now. They keep me around because they miss you, and you usually come to see me." He replied.
I sighed and sat down on my bed. "Jess, let me just tell it to you straight - my step-mom hates you. My dad doesn't like the idea of me having a boyfriend, which doesn't sit right with me. I'm a grown up now, not his little baby..anyways, my real mom is gonna be there and she really, really hates you." I mumbled. I heard him laugh loudly. "Rebeca, I don't give a shit if they like me or not. You're not in a relationship with Chloe. You're dating me."
"I know."
"Okay, let me ask you one thing Beca. Me or Chloe? I want a straight answer." He asked. "I- Jesse, that's not fair."
"Me or Chloe?"
"Jess."
"Fucking hell, me or Chloe?!"
"I don't know!"
"My God. You like her, don't you? You're a homo. I can't believe I never noticed it before."
"I am not gay! A-And even if I was, that wouldn't be an issue."
"Stop bullshitting. You're gay."
"I'm not."
"Then what the fuck are you?"
"I-I think I'm bi. But that's completely different to being gay~"
"So you do like her, then?"
"I only love you, Jess. Stop making me feel bad."
"You feel bad? You feel bad? Beca. I feel really shit and it's all your fault!"
I took a deep breath. A single tear rolled down my cheek. My hands were shaking more then ever. "Then I guess we're over." I whispered.
"What? Bec, why are you doing this? You know I really love you, but you make it so fucking hard."
"If it's really that hard, and if you really do love me that much, you'll let go."
"Beca. Don't."
"Jesse. Let me go."
"No, y-you can't do this! We're not over until I say we are."
"For God's sake, Jesse, I've dealt with this bullshit for three years now. Four times I've tried to break up with you, but you always manage to make me stay. I can't do it anymore. I shouldn't have to send you nudes or constantly reassure you how good you look how how great you are, I shouldn't have to tidy your dorm because it's disgusting, I shouldn't have to do anything that you ask me to just because it's what you want. Honestly, it's weird. Really weird."
"Beca, I'm trying. I'm really trying to be a better person. Just one more chance~"
"You've had your chance! More than one, might I add. So when are you gonna become a better person?!" I screamed. Chloe stuck her head around the door and frowned, mouthing, "Are you okay?"
I nodded and looked down. I heard my phone beep and I knew he'd put the phone down on me. "God, that took me way too long to do...er, are you packed for my parents house?" I asked. Chloe nodded eagerly and jumped onto my bed. "Yep! Are you even taking anything?"
"Erm...just my dog plushie. And maybe my laptop. Wait, no, I have an IMac at my dad's. We can watch movies together if you want?"
"Yeah!"

I opened my front door and immediately Teddy and Fang ran to me. They're my dogs, Teddy is a mini poodle and Fang is a pitbull. "Hey! Fang, down!" I snapped at him, laughing. Chloe giggled and knelt down after handing me her bags, stroking them and letting them lick her hands. "Dude, don't give in to them. They're really...hands on. Especially Ted."
Chloe frowned. "He's tiny, what could he actually do to you?" She asked, laughing. I held my arm out and she inspected the white scar that went down the length of my fore arm, shocked. "The poodle did that?!"
"Yep. I've never played tug of war with him since. I don't even think Fang is capable of that." I muttered. Chloe bit her lip to stop herself laughing. "What?"
"Fang and Teddy? Dare I ask who named them?" She grinned. I rolled my eyes and smiled. "I named Fang. I was fourteen and I thought it was cool and edgy, for goodness sake! And then Sheila named Ted because she realised letting the baby of the family isnt a good idea. So, Fang is nine and Ted is four. I learned my lesson by the time I was nineteen so I was perfectly capable of naming him, but I guess Sheila just never trusts me anyway."
"She doesn't trust you?" Chloe probed. I looked up and saw Michael entering the room. "Er, we can unpack this when we go upstairs."
"Monster! Hey!" My brother grinned. He came over to me and ruffled my hair. "Haven't seen you in..a while."
"Seven years. I've counted. I've even counted the days; 2,832. All because you couldn't get along with Sheila." I muttered. Michael rolled his eyes and glared at me. "You know that isn't why."
I nodded and folded my arms. "Oh yeah, it's because you couldn't handle the fact Sheila was having dad's baby. You said that the kid would never be your sibling. Still, you're here now. Welcome back, dickhead." I grumbled. I grabbed Chloe's wrist and her bags before dragging her up the stairs.
Teddy and Fang followed close behind and bounded into my room. Chloe shut the door behind us, but just late enough to hear Michael shout, "Keep the door open, Bec! You and your little girlfriend best not be doing anything!"
Chloe blushed and awkwardly shuffled over to my bed. I rolled my eyes and laughed nervously. "I'm guessing he saw your Facebook post. Maybe you shouldn't have a public account - then people wouldn't know private things." I smiled. The redhead nodded and looked down. "I suppose. I just wanted to get it out there, to the world."
"Well, I'm not gay..so I guess it wouldn't make sense anyway. I don't know what I am just yet. I think I might be bi, I just..I don't know."
Chloe nodded and we locked eyes. She smiled and squeezed my hand gently. "You'll know, sooner or later. It took me 26 years of my life to finally realise."
"I still can't believe you're 26. It still feels like I'm 19 and you're 22." I muttered. Chloe giggled and nodded again. "I know. It's mad. We're actually adults now, so..maybe we should act like it?"
"Don't be ridiculous, Beale. We should never grow up." I smiled.
