It's just a game

3rd Person POV:

Toya and Nene had spawned into an other place. They were deep in a forest. Cautiously, they listened to their surroundings, trying to figure out if any players spawned in their area. Honestly, Toya didn't want to shoot anyone. He didn't want to kill anyone, he just wanted to wait until all of this comes to an end. Surprisingly, there was a team that spawned nearby. They were pretty loud.

Toya and Nene hid behind a tree and listened to them.

„This can't be real. No, this is a dream. This is fake, none of this is real!", they heard a boy frustratedly shout.

„Eh? This surely isn't a dream! Even Miku-chan said that!", a high pitched voice exclaimed.

„How can this possibly be real?"

Suddenly, they heard a thud.

„Ow! What was that for?!", the boy shouted.

„Since you wouldn't believe that this is real, I wanted to prove to you that you're wrong! Look, you didn't wake up!", the girl stated.

„Ugh, you're unbelievable. Anyways, let's just eliminate everyone in this area. I don't believe that robot girl that anyone will die here. She just made it sound realistic", the boy huffed.

„Okay then, let's go!", she cheerfully shouted.

How can someone be so... happy in moments like this?

Then, they heard how their footsteps walk away. Phew. No one even realized they were there. They decided to check on the floor, if they can find anything they can add to their inventory.

„Kusanagi, look what I found!", Toya whispered, trying to stay quiet so they wouldn't attract enemies.

The green-haired turned her lavender eyes over to the excited boy, who pointed at an apple hanging from a tree. At first she thought he found something good or useful, but apples restore life?...

Seems like he's never played any RPG games before..., Nene thought.

She laughed a bit. „Uhm... good job"

The blue haired smiled, proud of the first item he found. Instead of grabbing it, he had to click either the ‚X' button on his bracelet, which meant ,pick up', or the ,O' button, which meant ,leave it/cancel'. He was first confused what he should do, Nene noticed and helped him. Suddenly, the apple disappeared in front of him.

Huh?!

„Here, this is your inventory. You can click it and there you can see what you've collected so far. If you want to eat the apple to restore your HP, you can click it and it'll appear in your hand", she said while showing him how to do it. Toya's eyes were glued on to the apple that showed up in his inventory.

Interesting...

They continued collecting stuff, until the sun started to set, making the sky orange.

„I think we should look for a place to stay for the night", Nene said, earning a nod from Toya.

They walk and walk, until Nene stops in front of a tree.

„This is a good place to stay. The leaves can surely cover someone up", she pointed at the tree.

Toya didn't answer. Nene noticed his entire body shaking.

„Are you... okay?"

„I'm fine, don't worry. Is it okay if I sleep in that cave over there?"

Then, something came into Nene's mind.

Right! I'm a girl and he's a boy! Ugh, why am is so stupid! I should've thought about that earlier! Now he thinks that I'm some creep! Shit shit shit shit shit , these thoughts kept haunting Nene's mind and her face turned as red as a tomato.

„U-uhm sure", she quietly said as she awkwardly turned around to climb up the tree.

„Well then, good night", Toya said, not knowing why she turned so red all of the sudden.

„Yeah. 'Night", she responded dryly.

As Toya walked torwards the cave, he felt someone's gaze on him. Or two? He couldn't figure it out. Sleeping on the ground was at least better than being above it. Just the thought of it made him shiver. He carefully crawled into the small opening and laid himself down. The ground was hard and cold. He couldn't sleep. The feeling of something watching him wouldn't leave him alone. Since he couldn't fall asleep, he decided to check his inventory. He's collected a good amount of things today: Apples, sticks, mushrooms, a knife, a gas mask and a torch. Should he lighten it up to check his surroundings? No. It would be best to save it for emergencies.

Although he was convinced that no one was in this cave, he was still cautious. What if someone suddenly breaks into the cave and kills him? The constant fear haunted Toya for a good amount of time, until he finally decided to stand up and seal the opening. He looked for nearby rocks and surprisingly found one. With all his strength, he started pushing the stone against the opening. To his surprise, the rock was lighter than usually. Probably because he was in a game, so his body would be stronger than in reality?

He finally sealed the opening to the cave and laid back down. Still, he was scared.

,It's just a game. It's just a game. It's just a game. Tomorrow when you wake up, it would all just be a dream'

Finally, his body and mind began relaxing. His eyelids grew heavier and then, he fell asleep.
