Dinner melted away into comfortable silence, a quiet promise of a future rebuilt. A minute later, Shivay reappeared, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Annika," he said, his voice laced with amusement, "look up."
She tilted her head back, curiosity blooming. Just as the clock chimed midnight, signifying the start of a new day, the sky erupted in a dazzling display of fireworks. Blazing letters spelled out a heartfelt message: "I love you, Annika. Happy First Marriage Anniversary."
Annika gasped, overwhelmed by the unexpected spectacle. As the vibrant display faded, Shivay presented her with a knife, its handle gleaming beside a cake emblazoned with "Happy First Marriage Anniversary."
A wave of emotions washed over Annika. Shame crept in at the realization that she'd completely forgotten their anniversary. Time had flown by in a blur. "A year?" she breathed, tears welling in her eyes. "It's already been a year? Time truly flies."
Shivay's gaze softened, watching the emotions flicker across her face. He stood transfixed, as if captivated by her every expression. A tender smile tugged at his lips.
"Almost slipped my mind too," Annika admitted, a hint of amusement in her voice. She met his loving gaze, a single tear tracing a path down her cheek. "So, Shivay," she began, her voice playful, "if today's our anniversary, then that must mean..."
A knowing smile spread across Shivay's face. "Tomorrow's my birthday, isn't it?"
"Exactly!" Annika confirmed, her smile widening. "So, birthday boy, any grand plans?"
Shivay chuckled. "Nothing grand," he replied, leaning in to brush a kiss against her forehead. "Just some quality time with you, here at the resort I booked for us. A chance to celebrate both occasions, wouldn't you say?"
Annika's heart swelled. With a shared laugh, they cut the cake, feeding each other with loving gestures. With the cake devoured, Shivay led an eager Annika inside the resort house. She couldn't wait to see what awaited them.
Stepping inside the resort house, Annika's excitement bubbled over. The door swung shut behind them, plunging them into a momentary darkness. But then, soft light flickered to life, revealing a breathtaking scene.
Fairy lights cascaded down the walls like a luminous waterfall, casting an ethereal glow over the room. Plush armchairs were nestled around a crackling fireplace, promising cozy evenings spent wrapped in each other's arms. A balcony, draped in gauzy white curtains, offered a glimpse of the starlit sky and the promise of romantic moonlit walks.
He took her hand, his fingers brushing against hers, sending a jolt of electricity through her. "Come," he said, his voice a low murmur, "let me show you the rest."
Annika allowed him to lead her, her heart brimming with a newfound hope. The resort, with its enchanting atmosphere, felt like a world away from their everyday lives. It was a haven they could explore together, a chance to rediscover themselves and their love.
As Shivay unveiled the other hidden treasures of the resort – a private jacuzzi overlooking a breathtaking vista, a hidden library filled with their favorite authors, a cozy nook with a telescope for stargazing – Annika felt a sense of gratitude wash over her. Shivay, with his thoughtful gestures, was proving his love in a thousand tiny ways.
Shivay then led Annika by the hand, guiding her towards their room. Unlike the grand spaces of Oberoi Mansion, this one was a charmingly intimate haven designed for two. But it was the centerpiece that truly captured Annika's heart: a majestic four-poster bed draped in a cascade of rose petals. It was a scene straight out of a romance novel.
Annika turned to him, her eyes shining with gratitude. "It's perfect, Shivay. Absolutely perfect." She reached out, her fingers brushing against his cheek. "Thank you, for everything."
Shivay leaned in, his lips hovering tantalizingly close. "The real celebration starts now," he murmured, his voice husky with desire.
He pulled her into a heated kiss, the passion simmering within them finally erupting.
In a surge of desire, he scooped her up in his arms and carried her over to the bed, his body hovering over hers. His touch was electric, sending waves of pleasure through her body. As he slowly pulled her saree down, revealing her soft skin, Annika couldn't help but moan in anticipation.
Shivay's lips found hers once again, as his hands roamed over her figure with a hunger that matched her own. Her hands explored his muscular back, pulling him closer to her as their bodies melded together in a passionate embrace.
The room was filled with the sound of their heavy breathing and the sweet melody of their kisses. Shivay gently cupped Annika's breast, causing her to arch her back in pleasure, a soft moan escaping her lips. The sensation of his touch sent a wave of desire coursing through her veins, making her crave more of him. Their clothes fell to the floor in a flurry of desire as they gave in to the passion that had been building between them for so long.
As their bodies entwined, the world outside seemed to disappear, leaving only the two of them lost in their own world of passion and desire. Every touch, every kiss, was like fire igniting between them, leaving them both hungry for more.
Shivay's touch was both gentle and possessive, his kisses a mixture of sweetness and hunger. Annika surrendered herself completely to him, letting go of all inhibitions as they explored each other with a fervor that left them both breathless and wanting more.
With every caress, every stroke, every kiss, Annika felt herself falling deeper and deeper in love with Shivay. It was as if all the walls she had built around her heart were crumbling down, leaving her vulnerable and exposed.
As the night wore on, their passion only grew stronger, their bodies moving together in a dance of ecstasy and desire. The intensity of their connection fueled their desire, leaving them both lost in a world of pleasure and longing.
In the soft light of the moon, Annika and Shivay lay tangled together, their bodies still humming with the heat of their passion. With the embers of their passion fading, they drifted into sleep, the early morning light painting their entwined bodies in a soft glow.
Annika woke up the next morning, her body pleasantly achy from their passionate night. Reaching for Shivay beside her, a wave of fear washed over her. Memories of a similar experience in Pune resurfaced. Had he left again?
Panic rising, she searched frantically for her clothes. Relief washed over her as she found herself in his shirt. She cautiously got out of bed and continued her search, checking the bathroom and then venturing out of the room.
A sound drew her attention. To her immense surprise, Shivay wasn't gone. He stood in the kitchen, shirtless and in his jeans, cooking breakfast. Unable to contain her emotions, Annika rushed towards him and hugged him tightly from behind.
Startled, Shivay turned to find her tearful. Concern etched on his face, he asked, "Annika, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"
Her voice choked with emotion, Annika replied, "I thought you left after last night."
Shivay cupped her face, wiping away her tears with a gentle touch. He placed a soft kiss on her forehead, murmuring, "Silly girl, why would I do that?"
Before she could respond, he playfully placed a finger on her lips. "Shh," he whispered, "Sit here. Breakfast is almost ready." He guided her to the counter, offering her an apple to munch on while he finished cooking. After finishing their breakfast they both return to their room.
Swept away by their newfound intimacy, they spent their entire first day tangled in the sheets. Shivay couldn't seem to get enough of her, and their passion flared repeatedly. The next day, however, Annika, eager to explore, insisted on venturing out to see the surrounding area. Shivay, ever the charmer, readily agreed, but not before playfully bargaining for a passionate night in return.
After two more blissful days filled with sightseeing and lovemaking they reluctantly returned to the Oberoi Mansion, their hearts brimming with memories.
