PROLOGUE

LEYLA'S P.O.V.

4hours before the accident

It was around august,the cloud gloomy but beautiful.I could still feel chilled air piercing into my body even after closing my room window and totally turning off the AC.

I toss and turn on my bed, my heart race with excitement. It's my Junior year graduation! I don't know if most people celebrate that but it's a big win for me and my parent are throwing me this very big party!

I've always wanted to visit The Eko convention centre. It's one of the biggest event centre in Africa. My parents had to pull lot of strings just to book the entire place for my graduation party.

It's just my junior year graduation but my parents will do anything to make me happy. I've always wanted to visit Eko convention Centre! When I told my  parent I wanted a party there, they thought it was silly but after pouting and giving them cold shoulder for one day and even refusing to eat, they finally accepted!

I love my parents so much! They're the best parent in the whole wide world and they'd do anything for me just like all parents do.

The party is starting by 4 and its now 3;30pm. I hurry out of bed, bathing in a rush. I wore the floral red dress Mom got me for this occasion. Using my hand to brush off invisible dust from my dress, I squeal, giggling to myself.

For a 15 year old girl, my curves hang perfectly in the dress. My face could tell I'm young but not my body. My boobs are not totally small but hung well underneath my dress and I think my  ass is the biggest. My friends in school won't stop talking about it.The one time I told Mom about it, she brought down hell in the whole school.I  tell Mom everything and I love whenever we have our girls talk. My parents are just the absolute best!

After double checking my dress in the mirror, I rush to my parents room and to my dissatisfaction, they weren't dressed. Immediately Mom saw me, She smiles, Opening her arms wide open for a hug which I gladly allowed. "You look so beautiful,Princess" Mom says, kissing my forehead.

I smiled happily, "Thanks Mom" I said, "But why aren't you dressed?" I asked, raising my head to look at them.

They exchange knowing look, Mom slowly grabs my shoulder so I could look at her. "It's going to be so windy today and It's rainy outside-"

"-No!"I cut in, tears already streaming down my face.

"Princess, We can raincheck today and hold the event tomorrow-"Mom tries to make me understand but I wasn't hearing it. I'm too hurt to process anything right now. They promised! I was looking forward to having a great day!

"Baby girl" Dad adds in his usual placid voice, trying to soothe me but nothing is working right now. I can't believe they betrayed me

"No!No!This is Unfair!You promised!"I didn't mean to yell -Or  maybe I did, but I was so hurt. I'm so hurt! "I hate you! I hate you both!"

I ran out of their room before Mom could finish her sentence. I ran as fast as I could to my room,locking the door behind me. Screaming, I  smash everything I saw in sight. I keep destroying things in my room, crying  on the  top of my lungs.

I was anticipating the event. I had it all played out in my head and they just chose to cancel?

"Leyla baby,Open up" I hear Mom says, knocking softly on my door.

I could only keep crying, looking at space.

"Baby Common. Please open the door" She tried again and I almost stood from  the bed to open it but I held it in.
