Hello! It's been such a long time since I wrote a fanfic, so I hope you'll welcome me back under a new name.
I have been obsessed with Bridgerton lately and I absolutely cannot get Eloise and Cressida out of my head so I'm going to write it for the world to see.
My credentials? Well, dear reader, I have none. I have begun reading the Bridgerton series to get a feel for the writing style, but most of my information will come from the show and Wikipedia. Feel free to correct me!
This does imply many assumptions will need to be made so I will discuss them here.
I was unable to find out what age Cressida was when she debuted, so my timeline may be a little muggy in that regard.
From my understanding, Cressida debuted in the 1813 season and it is up to the families to determine at what age their daughters will debut. Given that Lord Cowper is adamant, I am going to assume that Cressida debuted at age 16. This would put Cressida at about 18 or 19 for the 1815 season, which would correspond to season 3 of the show, which would be slightly before our story begins. I will be using this for placing prologue dates, as we need a bit of background.
Furthermore, since the second part of season 3 has yet to air, we are going to assume that Cressida ends up taking the hand of Lord Debling. I know this is not the case in the books and may not be the case in the show, but Lord Debling's plans to leave the estate to his wife lend well to our story. We will also be altering Eloise's story (fuck Sir Phillip), but that's the point of Wattpad, is it not?
