In the bustling heart of Thimphu City, Juetshen, the immortal snake who has lived for over 500 years, comes to observe humanity. Disguised as a human, she moves unnoticed among the crowds, drawn to the city as if she is waiting for someone special to appear.

Jimba, a 25-year-old recently employed as a banking officer at Tashi Bank, follows a meticulous routine. Each morning, he rises early to do push-ups and jog, maintaining his health with a disciplined lifestyle. A vegetarian, he adheres to a strict diet, finds time for his daily prayers, and keeps his home impeccably clean. Jimba, a man of few friends and sober habits, distrusts promises, preferring the reliability of his well-organized life. He chronicles his days in a diary, capturing the details of his orderly existence.

One morning, as Jimba walks through the streets of Thimphu to his office, he crosses paths with Juetshen. Both stop, turning their heads to lock eyes. An awkward smile passes between them before Jimba quickly looks away and continues on his way, trying to avoid her gaze. Juetshen, still watching him as he walks away, thinks to herself, "How strange that a simple human glance can bring me such happiness. Who could he be?"

At his office desk, Jimba pondered, "I'm someone who's never really been captivated by anyone before. What was it about that woman?" He replayed the moment their eyes met and the awkward smiles they shared. Lost in thought, he blushed, only to snap back to reality when he noticed his colleague staring at him in shock. Embarrassed, Jimba quickly stopped smiling and pretended to focus on his computer.

After work, as Jimba left the office, he encountered Juetshen again at the same spot where they had crossed paths earlier.

"What's your name?" Juetshen asked confidently.

"Jim... Jimba," he stammered, bewildered by her directness. He couldn't fathom how a stranger could approach him so confidently.

"What kind of human are you?" Juetshen inquired further.

Jimba, growing more confused, struggled to respond. "I'm just a normal person," he claimed.

"Oh, I was wondering why you made me happy this morning," Juetshen said.

Jimba choked on his words, "What, happy?" After a moment, he managed a confused smile. Without another word, Juetshen turned and walked away.

Watching her leave, Jimba felt a mix of amusement and bewilderment. "What a strange girl," he thought, and then he too walked away, his mind swirling with questions.

In her half-body snake form at her home with an unusual room, Juetshen pondered, "Why does this boy, Jimba, bother me so?".
"Perhaps she's insane," Jimba, writes down in his diary and heads into the bath room for washup before his bed time.
