Heavenly [Soshiro Hoshina x Reader]

In the previous chapter our beloved Kikoru and You became friends. You're both extremely strong in combat skill and well...a lot of other things. You're both working together on killing Kaiju for the second part of your exam.

"I can get there first!" A pink haired boy yelled
"Doubtful." Me and Kikoru said in sync while shooting a Kaiju. She shot another Kaiju and we continued to jump towards the jackpot. She there's a grenade and I shot.

We both shot down its throat and fist bumped.
"Let's go!" I smiled
"Great job." She laughed
"You did most of the work." I laughed
"Yeah right!" She kept laughing.

"I did it. I was perfect...wasn't I daddy." She whispered
"Now I suppose I should go back and laugh in Kafka Hibino's face." She stopped. I flew backwards and blood came out of my mouth. Kikoru was hit too.

We killed all of the Kaiju...what the hell is hurting us...

I screamed and heard more Kaiju noises. Were they reviving...?
"Kikoru..." I crawled to her. She was coughing up blood too. We were hit in the same place. I looked up and saw a mushroom looking thing.
"What the hell...are you?" Kikoru asked
"How are you two still moving?" It asked. Did...did that Kaiju just talk?

The shield healed our wounds. And we stood up.
"You should really chew before you swallow." The thing shot her again. Kikoru screamed.
"KIKORU!" I yelled. It shot me and I put my hand over the biggest hole. It's right beside my heart. I screamed.

Soshiro POV

I looked up at the screen
"Look at Kikoru and Y/N! Their vital signs are irregular!"
"Is something else out there?" I asked
"I don't know yet. Wait...we're picking up new vital signs from the Kaiju!"
"That can't be right. None of those Kaiju have the ability to revive like this" I looked at her vital signs. You can't die. Not yet. We still need to talk.

They came back stronger...?
"Reactivate shields for all examines. And redeploy some drones. Hoshina, let's go." Mina started walking
"Rodger." I followed

"Do you think she's okay?" I asked
"She's a strong girl. She'll be fine. She can protect Kikoru too. Knowing her she'll protect that girl till her last breath even though she just met her. You know how she is with friends." Mina started walking faster
"Right..." I kept up with her pace. I could tell she was unsure if Y/N would actually be alright or even alive by the time we got out there.

Y/N POV

I stood up.
"I WONT RUN AWAY!" Kikoru got smacked into the building
"KIKO!" I screamed. I dodged its tail and ran over to her.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Come on look at me!" I snapped in front of her face. She just zoned out
"Stay with me Kiko!" I yelled. She stepped out of the wall and ran. I ran with her and started shooting, she did too.

It smacked us into some rubble

We both stood up and Kikoru dropped her gun. Her arm was broken. Please...hurry Soshiro...

I sat on the ground hugging Kikoru with my back facing the Kaiju as it summoned some giant pink energy ball. I had a broken leg and Kikoru definitely couldn't walk.
"Kiko look at me." I looked at her bloody hair as she lifted her head
"Please...Kikoru..." I started crying

"Soshiro I'm so sorry!" I yelled. I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"You did great Y/N, good job!" It was Kafka. The blast hit him and turned into Kaiju no.8.

Soshiro POV

No...nononono don't be sorry. I'm gonna save you. Im gonna save your stupid face if it's the last thing I do. Don't you dare give up on me.

Y/N POV

"H-Huh..." I stared at him like an idiot as he begged us not to tell anyone. He started fighting the Honju.

He punched it and it exploded. Me and Kikoru just stared at him.
"Glad you two are okay!" He smiled
"One thing, you shouldn't go taking risks to prove yourself." Something hit him
"NEITHER SHOULD YOU!" The white haired boy yelled
"HUH! ICHIKAWA? When did you get here?" He asked
"I TURN AROUND FOR ONE SECOND AND YOU RUN OFF! HERE YOU ARE TRANSFORMED IN THIS PLACE!" He yelled
"Guys...we really need to get Kikoru somewhere..." I was holding her head in my lap
"Rightttttt." Ichikawa picked her up and put her on his back
"Do I need to carry you?" Kafka asked
"No I can OW FUCK-" I grabbed my leg
"Yeahhhh you need help." He put his hands out
"I'll be fine I swear..." I started limping with them.

I woke up in a pod type thing.
"Soshiro..." I mumbled. He walked in and the pod opened
"Hey, take it easy." He walked over beside me
"Vice captain Hoshina..." my vision was a bit foggy
"You know you can call me Soshiro right now. We're not on duty." He ruffled my hair
"Okay Soshi..." my vision became clear
"There she is." He smiled

"Is Kikoru ok?" I asked
"She's doing better. I just talked to her." He cupped my cheek
"How do you feel?" He asked
"My body's sore." I closed my eyes
"Get used to it." He laughed
"Where's Mina?" I asked
"I honestly don't even know." He rubbed the side of my face
