I love this chapter🥹

KIAN

Irene was back to her old self and I couldn't be happier.

Her babbling still gave me a headache but I was ready to endure it if that made her happy.

Currently, she was silent as she was busy playing some stupid games on her phone.

I read my book, leaning my back against the headboard and she used my arm as a pillow, leaning against my side.

Her hair tickled my arm and I resisted the urge to sniff it since it smelled so fucking sweet.

"Aargh!" Irene groaned, slamming her phone down on the bed. "I am not playing this stupid game again!"

She was glaring at the phone and when I looked at her, she shot me a glare too making me look back at my book.

She remained like that for a long moment before sighing loudly and picking up the phone again.

I glanced at the screen and found her playing a block puzzle game and she was not able to go past that particular level.

She scowled at the screen as she tried to solve it once more but then paused and glanced at me.

She grabbed my hand, lifted it to her phone screen and held my thumb tightly and used it to swipe on the screen.

She did it for a couple of seconds, using my thumb to solve the puzzle and in the end, she did it.

She grinned, releasing my hand and turning to me. "Aww, you are my lucky charm!"

She threw her arms around my neck and hugged me.

I took that opportunity to bury my nose in her hair and sniff it subtly, it smelled like vanilla and wanted to keep sniffing it but she pulled back.

She cupped my cheek and placed a loud, wet kiss on my jaw. "Thank you."

She went back to playing her game but that simple kiss made me lose focus and I couldn't complete the chapter I was reading.

She soon placed her phone away and just sat there, taking my hand in hers and playing with it.

I tried to focus on reading but then something sharp pricked my hand and I glanced at her and found half of my hand inside her mouth and her eyes on me.

She was casually biting my hand as if it was a chocolate bar.

On seeing me looking, her lips stretched into a grin, her teeth still sunk inside my hand.

She loosened her teeth and I yanked my hand away, glaring at her. "You are a cannibal, aren't you?"

At that, she threw her head back, laughing loudly.

It was the first time I heard her laugh so freely and somehow that sounded so fucking good.

"Oh, yes." She snapped her teeth in my direction. "That was the only reason I married you, so I could eat you."
